Hepburn and Sons LLC is a trusted advisor to the American maritime industry and a warfighter-focused small business. We bridge R&D and technology transition, delivering advisory services, naval engineering, mission systems support, and advanced technology development to the DoD (especially NAVSEA), other agencies, and maritime partners.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this supervisorial position drives organic growth by developing and executing winning capture strategies and securing government contract awards. The role supports strategic expansion across all three divisions of Advisory Services, Mission Systems, and Technology Development with a dotted-line relationship to the Division Directors for strategic direction and bid/no-bid approvals. It is supported by two mid-level BD Analysts as direct reports.

A rapidly growing small business, we provide engineering support services, consulting and technical advisory services, technology transition, technology transition, and expert witness services. Our firm has a winning track record providing law firms with a team of senior officers who provide expert witness services to win cases involving ship design, acquisition, and asbestos exposure from naval service aboard ship, or trades working in shipyards.
Our technical expertise in a variety of engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical, nuclear, systems, information technology and cybersecurity, missile defense, material science, naval architecture, and naval engineering. Our strengths include program management, electromagnetic pulse (EMP), warfare and combat systems, to customers including the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) Wallops Island, the Office of Naval Research (ONR), and the Electric Ships Program Office (PMS 320), and Fortune 500 firms with technical analysis, quality, life cycle cost estimating, proposal preparation, business development, marketing, and capture management.
