Gaudenzia's Mission: Gaudenzia's Mission is to promote long-term recovery by providing comprehensive treatment and support to people with substance use disorder, co-occurring mental health disorders, and related conditions, regardless of individual circumstances.

Qualifications:

Education and Training: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in the sales, marketing, social or health sciences; or equivalent education and training in behavioral sciences.

Experience: Two (2) years experience in public relations; outside sales, marketing or customer relations.

Your responsibilities in this role may include:

The Director of Business Development is responsible for having an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Gaudenzia’s market and SUD/re-entry industry while helping us fulfill our mission as a nonprofit organization. This position will lead the overall strategy for our Healthcare client relations, identification of new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong partnerships with existing and new clients, and expanding the organization's market reach. This position must also work collaboratively with our chief Growth Officer and other client-facing departments to ensure client retention and service levels are strong.

This position will also be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and helping develop the team of Business Development Managers to reach activity and census goals. Duties may include but are not limited to building relationships with counties, hospitals, criminal justice, court systems, other treatment providers, and anyone who comes into contact with people at risk for substance use and/or mental health disorders; facilitating speaking engagements, collaboration with program directors to help meet their census goals, maintenance of files/database/CRM system that reflect relationship and referral conditions on a county by county basis within the region, assisting crisis management teams pertaining to public relations, and attending conferences and community events that lead to referral development.

  • Direct all activities within the business development scope of responsibility.
  • Mentor and provide guidance for business development staff.
  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize value to Gaudenzia's financial and operating performance targets.
  • Identify and build relationships with all programs and/or agencies that could potentially refer clients to Gaudenzia programs.
  • Coordinate with regional program directors to meet with individual counties or their designees on a regular basis . These may include Adult Probation, D&A SCA's Detention Centers, etc.
  • Furnish weekly and monthly reports that describe referral activity by program, new contacts, and changes in external agency(s) conditions that may result in challenges or opportunities for Gaudenzia.
  • Ensure KPls” and all performance measures are met and provide correct action strategies to meet targets.
  • Prioritize activities monthly to best achieve goals as determined by collaboration with the Chief Growth Officer.
  • Assist Regional/Division Director with data collection and reporting that pertains to changes/updates to client characteristics and county/industry demographics.
  • Develop feedback mechanisms for referral sources to give input about Gaudenzia’s programs.
  • Attend internal regional meetings as requested by the Executive Directors/Director of Business Development Address any problems or issues reported by referral sources through appropriate channels (program directors, division directors, admissions/intake teams, HelpLine etc)
  • Have regular contact with the Business Development Managers to help develop skills necessary to stay on target and reach goals to include time management, targeting, market segmentation, call to action and appropriate messaging.
  • Help to report on their successes in gaining admissions and building relationships.
  • Have field days with business development managers 1x per year.
  • Some overnight travel may be required.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
