The Director of Budget, Financial Reporting & Analysis works within the UAMS Controller’s Office, leading its professional reporting, planning and analysis functions. The Director is responsible for the design, creation, and production of monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reporting, including UAMS’ primary financial statements, University of Arkansas System Office reports, and reporting requirements of the State of Arkansas. The Director works closely with internal, external, and legislative auditors. The Director provides professional accounting consulting services to the organization and, therefore, must maintain current proficiency in generally accepted accounting principles and prudent business practices. This position is also responsible for leading the planning, development, coordination, and monitoring of the overall campus budget and resource allocation process to support the institution’s mission, strategic plans, and financial goals. This position is a collaborative partner to the various divisions of UAMS and will serve as the center of expertise for budget and financial planning. The Director of Financial Reporting, Planning & Analysis oversees the annual operating budget, biennial budget requests, capital budget process, and long-term financial planning for the entire campus. In addition, this position provides leadership for the development of institution-wide policies, processes, and initiatives to accomplish these goals.
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field plus six (6) years of experience in financial reporting and general ledger reporting, including five (5) years of supervisory/leadership experience required.
