Duties &

Qualifications

Essential Functions

Annual Giving Strategy & Management

• Design and implement a multi-channel annual giving program, including direct mail, email, digital appeals, Giving Days, leadership giving, and stewardship initiatives.
• Set and manage annual fund goals, timelines, and budgets.
• Analyze giving trends and donor data to inform strategy and maximize results.

Donor Cultivation & Stewardship

• Cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of annual fund donors, including leadership-level and repeat donors.
• Develop tailored engagement and recognition strategies to encourage donor retention and upgrades.
• Partner with the Head of School, Director of Advancement, senior administrators, and volunteers to support annual fund solicitations.

Volunteer Management

• Recruit, train, and manage annual giving volunteers, parent ambassadors, and committee members in annual giving and peer-to-peer fundraising efforts.

Communications & Marketing

• Collaborate with the Communications team to develop compelling annual fund messaging, appeals, and impact stories.
• Oversee production of annual fund materials, including letters, emails, online giving pages, and donor recognition publications.

Data, Reporting & Systems

• Track and report on key performance indicators such as participation, retention, average gift, and total dollars raised.

Collaboration & Institutional Support

• Work closely with Director of Advancement and Alumni Relations Director to move donors through the philanthropic pipeline.
• Support special initiatives and events that contribute to annual giving success.
• Contribute to a positive, donor-centered advancement culture.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of advancement or fundraising experience, with demonstrated success in annual giving.
• Experience in independent schools or nonprofit organizations preferred.
• Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to analyze data and translate insights into action.
• Proficiency in using fundraising software and databases to manage donor relationships and track fundraising progress. Knowledge of Raiser's Edge desired.
• Experience managing volunteers and working with senior leadership and boards.

Compensation and benefits are competitive, with an anticipated annual salary range of $90,000 to $100,000
