The Director of AI and Advanced Analytics defines and leads the enterprise strategy, development, and deployment of AI and advanced analytics to drive measurable business impact. This role establishes cross-enterprise AI knowledge networks, partners with business and technology leaders to identify and prioritize high-value use cases, and oversees an aligned portfolio of AI initiatives. The leader champions delivery of advanced solutions—including generative AI, agentic systems, computer vision, and machine learning—while building and developing high-performing teams, advancing emerging technologies, and ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient deployment across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an HCC/CCI AI Knowledge Network that enables collaboration setting across the enterprise to develop strategic direction and operational models to drive enterprise-wide AI transformation
  • Generally, lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML solutions
  • Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to identify high-impact AI use cases with quantifiable impact
  • Champion the development and deployment of AI/ML solutions including: GenAI product development and agentic system design, Computer vision, and ML-based defect detection
  • Oversee the AI project portfolio to ensure alignment with both short- and long-term goals of the enterprise
  • Provide thought leadership on how to leverage advanced data analytics tools (PowerBI, regression, video analytics, machine learning, LLM) to solve broad business problems
  • Lead and develop team of data scientists and analysts to collaborate with operating company partners in deploying advanced analytics
  • Drive exploration of emerging technologies to deploy advanced data analytics in a more efficient manner to shorten time to impact
  • Launch and facilitate an Advanced Analytics Knowledge Network comprised of practitioners across the enterprise
  • Collaborate with 2Ci and the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team to incorporate advanced analytics tools to enable plant floor productivity
  • Partner with IT to ensure data infrastructure is engineered efficiently and in compliance with cyber security policies and standards
  • Establish ML/AI architectural standards and best practices for deploying AI within a modern cloud-based environment
  • Identify and implement integration points across enterprise data platforms (Data Engineering)
  • Leverage cloud-based services to make data accessible across organizational barriers
  • Partner with IT, Legal, and HR to establish and enforce data security guidelines to govern external exposure to confidential data when using out-of-the-box technologies (ChatGPT, Google Gemini)

Qualifications

  • 10 years of related experience, with 7+ years of relevant management/leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics or a related technical field
  • Deep knowledge of artificial intelligence and advanced analytics, including generative AI, agentic systems, machine learning, computer vision, and statistical modeling
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data architectures, cloud platforms, and data engineering principles, including security and compliance requirements
  • Working knowledge of advanced analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, ML frameworks, LLMs, video analytics) and their business applications
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and operational environments, including plant-floor productivity, defect detection, and operational analytics
  • Awareness of emerging AI and analytics technologies and industry trends, with the ability to assess practical business value
  • Proven ability to design, lead, and scale AI/ML solutions from concept through deployment
  • Strategic portfolio management skills to prioritize and govern AI initiatives aligned to enterprise objectives
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder (both technical and non-technical) management skills
