Summary Description
The Director, North America Brand Management – Gorilla Brand is responsible for leading the development and execution of integrated go‑to‑market strategies across the Gorilla portfolio, with a strong emphasis on in‑market levers that drive sales, share, and brand equity.
This role owns translation of consumer‑led strategy into commercially effective activation across retail and media, ensuring Gorilla wins where it matters most—in‑market. The Director serves as the orchestration leader across pillars, aligning brand priorities to execution across channels (retail, digital, e‑commerce) and levers (pricing, promotion, distribution, and media) to deliver measurable business outcomes.
As an enterprise leader, this role anticipates market and competitive dynamics, defines clear growth strategies, aligns cross‑functional teams, and ensures disciplined execution that balances short‑term performance with long‑term brand building.
Duties & Responsibilities
Go‑to‑Market & In‑Market Leadership
- Lead development and execution of North America go‑to‑market strategies across the Gorilla portfolio, ensuring alignment from strategy through commercialization.
- Translate brand and pillar strategies into clear in‑market plans across key levers:
- - Media & demand generation
- - Promotion & merchandising
- - Pricing & pack architecture
- - Distribution & shelf execution
- Drive retail‑ready execution, ensuring plans land effectively across key customers (e.g., home center, mass, e‑commerce).
- Prioritize and sequence initiatives to maximize incremental sales and share impact in‑year.
Drive Sales & Share Growth (P&L Ownership Mindset)
- Identify, prioritize, and optimize growth levers to deliver against revenue, share, and profitability targets.
- Own marketing plans through an “outcomes lens”, with clear linkage to incremental impact (volume, ACV, velocity, ROI).
- Partner closely with Sales and Finance to ensure commercial viability and executional alignment.
- Establish and lead performance routines (e.g., business reviews, post‑analysis, brand planning) to evaluate effectiveness and continuously improve decisions.
- Balance data, insights, and experience to make trade‑offs in dynamic, in‑market environments.
Integrated Marketing & Demand Generation
- Lead development of integrated marketing plans that connect consumer messaging to in‑market activation.
- Ensure campaigns are designed for retail and channel execution, not just brand storytelling.
- Drive a digital‑first, performance‑driven approach, leveraging media, content, and e‑commerce to capture demand.
- Manage and partner with external agencies to deliver high‑quality, executionally grounded outputs tied to ROI.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
- Act as the central integrator across Brand, Sales, Finance, Digital, Supply Chain, and Claims/Regulatory.
- Ensure marketing plans are fully integrated into commercialization plans across the U.S. and Canada.
- Influence senior leaders through fact‑based storytelling, strong judgment, and clear recommendations.
- Remove barriers and align resources to enable speed and clarity in execution.
People Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, coach, and develop brand management talent, building a strong leadership bench.
- Establish and scale tools, frameworks, and ways of working that improve go‑to‑market effectiveness and accountability.
- Build organizational capability in in‑market execution, performance marketing, and commercial acumen.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in brand management (CPG preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to drive business results through in‑market levers (pricing, promo, distribution, media).
- Strong business acumen and P&L fluency, with ability to link marketing actions to financial outcomes.
- Proven success leading go‑to‑market strategies and integrated marketing execution.
- Experience operating in a cross‑functional, matrixed organization with strong influence skills.
- Track record of developing talent and leading teams.

- Communicate openly & appreciate the effort of others.
- Embrace knowledge, growth and change.
