The Director of Marketing Transformation and System Design is responsible for leading the end‑to‑end marketing operating system—defining how marketing operates at large to drive a full-scale transformation. The ambition is not only to set the bar within insurance, but the marketing industry at large. This includes looking at the entire operating system driven by tools, technologies, and platforms that work together to enable speed, creativity, scale, and future‑readiness.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and technology. As a system designer and creative technologist, this leader envisions what marketing could be enabled by technology, translates that vision into system design, and partners with the Marketing data and tooling architect, the AI Marketing task force and external vendors to bring it to life.

This role is not responsible for the individual component parts of technology, data, workflow design, or change management—but instead leads those teams as an integrated single threaded marketing product strategist to design the central marketing ops technical backbone to ensure the operating system is coherent, modern, and built for what’s next.

We are embracing this as a core component of the marketing transformation with the tooling and AI infrastructure a driving force for change. This will be in partnership with a companion role focused on the human capital side of the equation.

Location: Hybrid — 4 days per week on site in our New York, NY office.

  • Leverage the GEICO marketing strategy and methodology to create a system that productizes, scales and builds agentic thinking into the teams

  • Stay ahead of emerging platforms, AI‑enabled tools, and creative technologies that can unlock new ways of working

  • Responsible for Demo days and elevating the knowledge set of the entire marketing organization

  • Deep knowledge of AI marketplace and system design of other large scale marketing organizations

  • Design systems that are AI‑ready by default, enabling automation, intelligence, and augmentation across marketing activities

  • Partner with Marketing data and tooling architect to ensure AI tools can plug into the operating system cleanly and responsibly

  • Help shift marketing from tool usage to technology‑enabled capability building

Cross‑Functional Partnership:

  • Partner and lead an operating team from various GEICO departments:

    • Marketing data and tooling architect (execution and ownership)

    • Capabilities & Partnerships (agency and capability alignment)

    • Workflow & Process Design (how workflows through systems)

    • Change Management (driving adoption)

  • Clarify system intent and design, while other teams own execution, process, data, and adoption

What Success Looks Like:

  • A clearly articulated marketing operating system that teams understand and can rally behind

  • Definition of what we build as unique IP vs buy

  • Unified user experience for the marketing teams to increase adoption

  • Tooling decisions feel intentional, connected, and future‑ready

Who You Are:

Core Traits
