Note: We will consider remote candidates, preferrably east coast and/or within driveable distance to Hershey, PA to be in office monthly.

How will you fit in the big picture?

The Director Marketing, Pirate's Booty & Permissible Kids Snacking will lead the growth strategy for one of the most beloved brands in better-for-you snacking. This leader will shape the future of Pirate’s Booty by driving brand equity, consumer engagement, innovation, and business performance. Working across Commercial, Sales, Insights, R&D, and agency partners, this role will translate consumer-centric strategies into impactful marketing programs that deliver sustainable growth and strengthen Pirate’s Booty’s leadership position within permissible kids snacking.

Accountabilities

What will you do?

  • Lead the development and execution of annual and long-range brand strategies that drive sustainable growth, household penetration, and market share gains.
  • Serve as the brand and category expert, leveraging consumer, shopper, competitive, and retail insights to identify growth opportunities and guide strategic choices.
  • Partner closely with Commercial and Sales teams to translate brand strategy into customer-facing growth levers, activation plans, and distribution priorities.
  • Influence business performance through stewardship of marketing investments and collaboration with cross-functional partners to drive sales and share growth.
  • Lead cross-functional teams from insight generation through innovation, commercialization, and in-market execution.
  • Develop and inspire high-performing talent by creating an environment of collaboration, capability building, and accountability.

Minimum Education & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
Experience:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in brand management, consumer marketing, or related commercial leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success building consumer brands, driving innovation, and delivering measurable business results. Experience within better-for-you, salty snack, or permissible kids snacking categories is preferred.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and financial acumen with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams within a matrixed organization.
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and leadership capabilities.
