About Victoria’s Voice Foundation

Following the loss of their daughter Victoria to a drug overdose, Westgate Resorts founder David Siegel and Jackie Siegel turned their grief into action by creating Victoria’s Voice Foundation. The Foundation is a national nonprofit dedicated to educating youth, parents, educators, and communities about substance misuse prevention. Through its programs, policy initiatives, naloxone awareness campaigns, and educational resources, the Foundation works to save lives and empower families across America

The Director, Major Gifts position is a strategic fundraising leader responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift donors in support of Victoria’s Voice Foundation’s mission to advance initiatives against the drug epidemic, prevent substance use disorder, promote mental health awareness, advocate for policy change, and save lives from overdose. The Director is responsible for building meaningful relationships with philanthropists, foundations, and community stakeholders while developing and executing a comprehensive major gifts strategy that strengthens and diversifies philanthropic revenue. This position will manage a portfolio of high-capacity donors and prospects, lead major gift fundraising initiatives, and work closely with leadership, board members, and key volunteers to expand the Foundation’s impact nationwide.

What You Will Do

  • Major Gift Fundraising Strategy
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive major gifts program focused on gifts of $10,000+.
    • Create annual and multi-year fundraising strategies to increase major donor revenue.
    • Establish measurable goals for donor acquisition, retention, upgrades, and stewardship.
    • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified major gift prospects.
  • Donor Cultivation & Solicitation
    • Manage a portfolio of approximately 100–150 major donor prospects and current supporters.
    • Conduct regular donor meetings, virtual visits, and cultivation events.
    • Develop personalized engagement and solicitation strategies for each donor.
    • Prepare proposals, impact reports, donor correspondence, and gift agreements.
    • Secure major gifts through face-to-face solicitations and strategic stewardship.
  • Prospect Research & Pipeline Development
    • Identify new major gift prospects through research, referrals, events, and board engagement.
    • Analyze donor giving patterns and philanthropic capacity.
    • Collaborate with leadership to develop individualized cultivation plans.
  • Board & Leadership Partnership
    • Partner with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to leverage relationships and maximize fundraising opportunities.
    • Prepare donor briefing materials and meeting strategies for leadership and volunteer solicitors.
    • Support board members in fundraising activities and relationship management.
  • Stewardship & Donor Experience
    • Design and implement exceptional stewardship programs that demonstrate donor impact.
    • Ensure timely acknowledgment, recognition, and reporting for all major donors.
    • Create meaningful opportunities for donors to engage with Victoria’s Voice programs, initiatives, and beneficiaries.
  • Data & Reporting
    • Maintain accurate donor records and activity tracking within the organization's CRM.
    • Monitor fundraising performance and prepare reports on portfolio activity, pipeline movement, and revenue projections.
    • Utilize donor data to inform fundraising strategy and decision-making.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with the Executive Director, Corporate Partnerships Director, Marketing team, and program staff to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities.
    • Support special events, campaigns, and strategic initiatives that strengthen donor engagement and philanthropic growth.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring

Experience

  • 8 – 10 years of progressively responsible fundraising experience.
  • Demonstrated success securing and stewarding major gifts of $10,000 or more.
  • Experience managing donor portfolios and moving prospects through the cultivation cycle.
  • Experience working with nonprofit boards, executive leadership, and volunteer fundraisers.
  • Background in drug prevention education and/or healthcare is a plus.


Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or CFRE (Certified Fund-Raising Executive) designation preferred.


Skills/Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of relationship-based fundraising principles, donor cultivation strategies, and best practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to build trust and maintain long-term donor relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with donor CRM systems and fundraising analytics.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven approach.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining professional relationships with donors, board members, and stakeholders.
  • Collaboration skills to work effectively with leadership, board members, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 15% travel required
