
Lead high-stakes legal advisory for Sydney Metro – delivering strategic, solutions-focused counsel on construction and projects law across Sydney Metro West, Australia's biggest infrastructure program.
Shape legal strategy for Australia's biggest metro infrastructure program.
In this role, you'll:
Deliver high-quality, high-value, timely, solutions-focused independent legal advice to project teams on issues with potential high-profile financial, reputational, or operational risk, as well as day-to-day project matters.
Draft, review and negotiate project documents required during the delivery phase such as interface agreements, deeds of amendment or deeds of settlement.
Lead or support management of disputes and claims, including management of external lawyers and influence strategy and settlements. Share knowledge and experience with Sydney Metro legal team members enabling lessons learned and consistency across the organization.
Operate as trusted advisor to senior executives and project teams navigating complex legal challenges across major infrastructure delivery.
Influence strategic decisions through expert legal analysis and risk assessment while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation.
Monitor changes in law which affect the project and assist to formulate a strategy in response.
Identify emerging legal risks and assist with training or other organisation wide initiatives to support dispute-avoidance.
