The Corporates practice assesses the creditworthiness of companies across industries by analyzing business risk, strategy, competitive position, and financial performance to produce opinions that support transparent, comparable decision-making. Analysts translate sector and company fundamentals into clear views on resilience across cycles, incorporating emerging themes such as AI-driven business change and shifting consumer and demand dynamics.

Responsibilities:
Leadership & Talent Development
Lead, coach, and develop analysts, building both credit expertise and the ability to effectively leverage digital and AI-enabled tools.
Drive adoption of modern practices within the team by embedding GenAI, advanced analytics, and automation into monitoring, drafting, research and workflow execution improving speed, consistency, and analytical depth while maintaining strong human judgement and accountability.
Core Analytical & Delivery
Lead high-quality credit and capital markets analysis across assigned issuers and sectors, delivering forward-looking insights that support the delivery and maintenance of ratings, monitoring activities, risk assessments, and rating committee discussions in a fast-paced environment.
Translate issuer and sector developments into clear, decision ready analytical perspectives, integrating scenario analysis and forward-looking risk considerations to support rating committee discussions.
Identify and implement workflow improvements, partnering with Data, Technology, Compliance, In-Business Control and Methodology teams to scale best practices.
Stakeholder & Market Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with issuers, investors, and market participants through credible, insight-led engagement.
Communicate complex, data-informed analysis clearly while maintaining independence and objectivity.
Risk Management and Operating
Ensure strong analytical execution, with clear documentation, high-quality outputs, and adherence to governance and regulatory standards.
Maintain oversight of portfolio risk to identify and escalate emerging risks early.
Apply disciplined oversight to the use of AI and automated outputs, ensuring transparency, explainability, and appropriate controls
Compensation/Benefits Information (This section is only applicable to US candidates:) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for thisposition is $172,000 USD to $247,000 USD. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. Disciplined oversight of portfolio risk, ensuring emerging risks are identified early, escalated appropriately, and managed in line with governance frameworks and decision rights.
Additional Information
An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have7+ yearsof relevant work experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. A master’s degree or professional certification (such as CFA) is highly valued. We welcome candidates from traditional finance disciplines as well as diverse academic backgrounds that support innovative and critical thinking.
Employees are required to work from the office a minimum of two days per week.
Candidates who reach the final stage of the interview process will be asked to attend at least one in-person interview at their nearest S&P Global Ratings office before an offer can be extended.
