Director Key Global Account – Taste

Location: Georgia, USA (Atlanta-metro Area)

You will play a pivotal role in shaping a solution-oriented approach that delivers value to our customers and drives sustainable business growth. This position offers a unique opportunity to craft and execute a long-term strategic sales plan, while mentoring both sales and technical teams to ensure outstanding performance and alignment. In close partnership with your manager and cross ‑functional colleagues, you will lead the key account business in North America. You will be defining and executing the business strategy, accelerating growth through close collaboration with regional teams, and ensuring strategic alignment across all key stakeholders.

In this position, you will lead long ‑term business development for all Taste categories, with a stronger focus on Beverages and Dairy, for a major global key account in North America, driving sales growth and profitability in alignment with global and regional objectives. You’ll maintain dsm-firmenich as the clients’ key partner and commit to building a strong pipeline with a mindset to winning projects and selling profitable solutions. It’s an opportunity to contribute to our company’s global strategy on this key account. The position reports to the VP Global Key Account, TTH.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead long ‑term business development for all Taste categories, with a stronger focus on Beverages and Dairy, for a major global key account in North America, driving sales growth and profitability in alignment with global and regional objectives.
• Position dsm-firmenich as a strategic partner by building a robust pipeline, winning high-impact projects, and delivering profitable, customer-centric solutions.
• Contribute to the global strategy as defined by the TTH Global Lead, ensuring alignment with governance frameworks and proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
• Provide category leadership across sales activities, ensuring consistency and excellence in execution globally; own the business strategy and growth agenda for the North American region, coordinating local account management and execution across markets.
• Continuously explore new business opportunities across the value chain, including disruptive innovation and strategic partnerships.
• Drive cross-functional development projects with internal stakeholders, fostering proactive collaboration and innovation.

The salary scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and primary work location. Salary $180,800-$225,000.

You bring

• Minimum 10 years of commercial experience in the international Food industry in a sales role required; experience managing key accounts a plus
• Food industry technical knowledge and beverage experience will be a strong advantage
• Ability to develop successful client relationship with large accounts and advanced Sales and Negotiation skills
• Thorough business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset, coupled with a sound ability to deal with ambiguity.
• Outstanding interpersonal and influential skills, with a thorough team player mindset and collaborative behavior; lead with empathy

• Bachelor’s degree required; degree in a technical discipline preferred
