Job Description

The Lead IT Project Manager provides direction, oversight, and leadership to ensure the successful execution of all IT projects, adherence to best practices, project status reporting, and delivery of high-quality outcomes. This position possesses strong project management expertise and a passion for driving continuous improvement.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Strong understanding of project reporting and metrics, ensuring that stakeholders are well-informed, decisions are data-driven, and projects stay on track.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, with experience in Agile, Waterfall and hybrid methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
  • Experience in driving process improvements and implementing best practices in project management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and issues and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to thrive, adapt, and be flexible in a fast-paced dynamic work environment.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6 years of project management experience, including strategic planning experience and development of a project management framework.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven senior-level project management experience, including strategic planning experience and development of project management frameworks.
  • Experience in higher education.
  • Proficient in leveraging Jira for project management tracking and reporting.
  • Experience in demand management or capacity planning.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
