Job Description

Lead the execution of the Continent's IT Operations and Technology & Digital strategy, ensuring effective communication and systematic tracking of initiative progress. Oversee departmental delivery activities, actively managing complex or delayed projects. Responsible for key IT communication efforts, including conferences, events, and other marketing initiatives. Serve as the technology interface for cross-disciplinary initiatives, providing technical evaluation and recommendations.

Foster a culture of MI and take responsibility for Associate Engagement within the IT Departments.

Drive talent-related initiatives, particularly learning and development, along with talent resourcing efforts for the APIT field team in program development and rollout.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Information Technology, Hotel Management, or a related major.
  • 3 years of project management experience.
  • 3 years of experience in a similar role, with exposure to diverse cultures and values across the Greater China Region.
  • Proven negotiation skills and hotel operations experience are added advantages.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Managing Projects and Priorities

  • Accountable for delivering results aligned with the balanced scorecard and established annual goals.
  • Responsible for strategic planning, execution, and communication of continental events.
  • Oversees portfolio management for all ongoing corporate and continent projects, including the entire project lifecycle.
  • Ensures accurate reporting on key projects, particularly strategic initiatives and complex or delayed projects, with active involvement.
  • Facilitates communication of project updates to executive leadership using advanced project-tracking tools and platforms.
  • Manages PMO Department P&L, including controllable elements such as talent resourcing, learning & development, and discipline headcount.
  • Leads critical survey initiatives across the GC Continent, ensuring follow-up action plans are tracked and closed effectively.
  • Oversees IT communication initiatives, including conferences, events, newsletters, executive reports, and social media marketing.
  • Maintains core communication channels like MGS, LinkedIn, and IT Operations SharePoint.
  • Acts as the technology interface for cross-disciplinary initiatives, providing technical evaluation and strategic recommendations.

Managing Key Stakeholders’ Expectations

  • Responsible for activating the Continent IT engagement model, including establishing a framework for meetings and calls, and monitoring progress.
  • Serves as the primary contact for the Corporate Technology Portfolio Management team regarding project portfolio oversight.
  • Acts as Relationship Owner with Corporate and GC Learning & Development, supporting the rollout of key training initiatives, including SME roles in RFP processes, curriculum development, data consolidation, translation, and implementation facilitation.
  • Acts as the main point of contact for Continent HR governance.
  • Oversees the design and ongoing management of IT college programs in collaboration with external training providers. Provides technical advisory support.

Conducting Human Resources Activities

  • Responsible for the communication and follow-up of engagement survey actions, ensuring closure for both the designated property and the cluster IT team.
  • Oversees the Human Capital processes for GC IT Operations and Cluster Leaders.
  • Manages the readiness and activation of the Personal Development Program (PDP) within the property IT and cluster IT teams.
  • Facilitates the deployment and periodic refresh of Reward & Recognition programs for the property IT and field IT teams.
  • Supports talent sourcing, development strategies, and program design for GC.
  • Ensures the effective onboarding and induction processes for IT staff within the property and for other stakeholders.
  • Promotes a culture of career growth through the effective use of Peak Performance tools and additional development resources.

Managing Key Process/Documentation

  • Responsible for the development and progress monitoring of the continent's technology documentation.
  • Oversees the compilation of the Annual Project, Initiative Roadmap, and Focus initiatives.
  • Contributes to IT Operations communication strategies.
  • Collaborates on the planning and execution of the continent's Educational Call and Townhall meetings.
  • Manages the preparation and delivery of executive communications, including the monthly executive report and the continent staff meetings.
  • Coordinates the planning and implementation of the GC IT Training calendar.
