A Day in the Life

Our Interventional Cardiology Therapies(ICT) organization combines the Medtronic therapies and pipeline across structural heart, coronary, hypertension management, and digital transformation of the cath lab. Interventional cardiology is one of the most exciting spaces in medtech and this is our moment to lead. The scale of the opportunity speaks for itself: 75 million people with vascular heart disease, 125 million with ischemic heart disease and over a billion living with hypertension. With the new markets we are entering, we have the opportunity to impact millions of patients and some of the most crucial cardiovascular health challenges.

The successful applicant will report to the VP of Interventional Cardiology Therapies & will have a team of direct reports. The scope of this regional role will include Western Europe & Israel.

Main Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic transformation and implementation of the Interventional Cardiology model across Western Europe, with a focus on Structural Heart and CRDN portfolios.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive growth, market penetration, and competitive positioning.
  • Define and own governance structures to enable strong execution across revenue and profitability.
  • Shape Enterprise Accounts collaboration and operating mechanisms to maximize impact for the IC business.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, partnering cross‑functionally on go‑to‑market and business development initiatives.
  • Integrate market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive analysis into strategic decision‑making.
  • Drive change management and support adoption of the IC model, fostering a high‑performance culture across the region.
  • Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including physicians, hospital administrators, and industry partners.
  • Partner closely with the Global Commercial Transformation Lead to ensure alignment with global Structural Heart strategies.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators, adjusting strategies as needed to deliver revenue and growth targets.

Must Have Experience, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in the medtech sector including strategic, transformation & leadership role
  • Proven commercial understanding & experience in med tech
  • Experience in driving strategy growth in Western European markets
  • Proven leadership & influence across functions & region
  • Strategic data-driven decision making
  • Experience of executing global strategic objects in regional markets
  • Minimum of 7 years managing a team directly

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree advantageous

Languages:

  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional Western European language/s is highly desirable.

The role will be a flexible workstyle and will require approximately 50% travel across the region with a small percentage of International travel required.
