This position would require a hybrid work schedule of 3 days per week onsite and 2 days remote out of our Brentwood, TN office location. The Director, Interdictions and Security Threat Groups (STG) oversees and provides direction in regard to all aspects of CoreCivic's Interdictions Services and Security Threat Group management system, STG validation, and STG activity investigations.Provides oversight and direction for CoreCivic's Interdictions programs and Security Threat Group program, to include the management of the K9 Search and Activity Record (SAR), CORECIVIC.net electronic file system and intelligence database.Coordinates and oversees investigations and intelligence gathering functions related to operational investigative issues and works with Intelligence, Security Operations, and GCOI staff to ensure Interdictions and STG related investigations are coordinated and conducted in accordance with CoreCivic policy. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The incumbent should be able to perform the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements. 1. Develops, maintains, and implements the company's approved Interdiction and STG identification programs.This includes the STG investigation and validation procedures for all CoreCivic facilities and the management of the company's approved Interdiction program, including strategy to target all forms of contraband introduced into facilities. 2. Coordinates STG, drug, and contraband related investigations, inspections, and search activities.Coordinates efforts with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners in order to identify the sources of illicit contraband and prosecute those responsible. 3. Develops and maintains a data system that captures all relevant factors and that each factor is consistently weighed in determining offender status and placement, as well as aids in the identification of facility threats and plans for mitigation.Monitors and reviews system to correct deficiencies and ensure policy compliance. 4. Assists in the development of appropriate training materials and curricula to train company personnel in the areas of Interdictions practices and equipment, STG, intelligence, and STG related investigations.Coordinates with facility learning and development staff for the delivery of required staff training programs. 5. Communicates Contraband and Security Threat Group data to appropriate departments through regular statistical reports. 6. Supervises staff in the performance of their duties and evaluates as prescribed by company policy.This includes training new employees, evaluating performance and preparing written performance reviews, listening to concerns and effectively resolving disputes or issues, taking corrective or disciplinary action, developing work schedules for staff and approving leave requests. 7. Identifies and implements the use of emerging technology and or tools for use in assisting CoreCivic facilities in contraband interdiction efforts. 8. Develops enhanced screening procedures for detection devices used on packages and persons such as body scanners, package scanners, drone detection, cell sense devices and radar and camera systems. 9. Oversees CoreCivic Detection Canine programs and K9 Search and Activity Record. 10. Provides information as directed to government partners, judges, attorneys, and other court personnel regarding the application of the systems under their area of responsibility. 11. Testifies in court as an expert witness regarding Interdiction Services and Security Threat Group investigations. 12. Reviews applicable policies and procedures to determine accuracy and need for revision. 13. Monitors and assists facility operations as they pertain to STG activity, identification, and related operational protocols.Monitors facility operations through various monitoring tools and reports, and establishes guidelines to prevent, investigate and gather intelligence regarding the introduction of contraband into facilities. 14. Conducts staff assistance reviews and audits relative to contraband flow and opportunities to enhance interdiction efforts, as well as STG activity and appropriate STG investigations. 15. Develops and maintains relationships with vendors and memberships with National Associations affiliated with Industrial Security and Technology and with National and Regional STG Associations. 16.
