Title: Director, Demand & Integrated Business Planning
Location: White Plains, NY

About The Role:

The Director, Demand & Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is responsible for leading the introduction, implementation, and continued management of the Integrated Business Planning processes and SLA in accordance with global standards. Integrated Business Planning is a company-wide planning process that connects strategy, finance, demand, supply, and execution into one integrated plan, enabling better decisions and stronger business performance. This process establishes alignment across key functions, including marketing, trade marketing, sales, planning, production, logistics, and finance, through defined rules of engagement that support business objectives and promote effective SLA execution.. This role owns and facilitates execution of the planning process in accordance with global Heineken standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership

  • Lead, develop, and coach the demand planning team.
  • Establish planning standards, processes, and accountability.
  • Build stronger analytical and commercial capabilities within the organization.
  • Develop planning talent, establish clear performance expectations, and create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Change Management and Execution of the IBP Process

  • Ensures introduction, execution and continuous improvement of IBP cycle in line with Heineken standards
  • Clarifies, communicates, and monitors tasks and responsibilities of all relevant stakeholders involved in the preparation and execution of the planning process. Provides coaching as required to make improvements in the process and plans.
  • Monitors the execution of all key decisions taken in the planning meetings, and reports into the next cycle
  • Ensures ad-hoc issues are resolved in line with the formal process and escalation paths
  • Acts as an active member of the Heineken S&OP community of practices which involves knowledge sharing, Heineken S&OP standards development, etc
  • Creates process to link S&OP decisions taken into the past to actual performance and trends in the S&OP dashboard

IBP Commitment & Stakeholder Management

  • Establishes a governance structure to monitor and improve overall IBP process effectiveness through process performance indicators, audit tools, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Clarifies, communicates, monitors and aligns tasks and responsibilities of all relevant stakeholders involved in the preparation and execution of the process
  • Builds awareness and support across the OpCo and acts as an ambassador for the IBP process, ensuring demand and supply decisions are made within the framework.
  • Aligns tasks and responsibilities regarding execution of the process.
  • Facilitate decision making by preparing the agendas, chairing and participating in the IBP meetings and involving all relevant decision makers and functional perspectives.
  • Ensures high quality decisions and one agreed plan (with underlying assumptions) supported by all relevant stakeholders

Lead the Demand Planning Process

  • Lead the end-to-end demand planning process across brands, SKUs, packages, channels, customers, and markets.
  • Establish and maintain the company’s rolling demand forecast.
  • Lead Forecasting & Forecast Accuracy
  • Identify root causes of forecast error and implement corrective actions.
  • Continuously improving forecasting methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Collaborate with Supply Planning lead to translate market demand into an executable supply plan, jointly managing forecast changes, inventory strategies, capacity constraints, and service risks while driving cross-functional decision-making through S&OP and S&OE processes.

Information Quality and Mangement

  • Ensures all data required for the process is delivered timely, completely, accurately, and aligned with Heineken standards
  • Monitors data quality and recommends corrective actions when deviations occur.
  • Maintains a high-quality IBP S&OP deck that includes reliable volume and value inputs and outputs.Provides one common and accurate S&OP deck including volume and value to guide preparation, decisions, and discussion.

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree Level (Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management)
  • 7-10 years’ experience in FMCG, supply chain, preferably planning and S&OP management
  • Strong financial, analytical, and commercial literacy
  • Ability to effectively lead and work cross-functionally
  • Proven project and change management experience
  • Ability to lead, coach, develop and deliver results with a team
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence key decision makers
  • Problem-solving & presentation skills
  • Experience with a continuous improvement methodology (ex. TPM, Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Expertise in IBP & S&OP processes, inventory management, ERP systems, SAP and Blue Yonder

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary Range: $165,000 - $185,000 + Annual Bonus
