Leads the financial strategy, accounting, and reporting activities related to enterprise-wide insurance and risk financing programs. Directs financial operations associated with captive insurance structures, insurance renewals, claims accounting, collateral management, and total cost of risk reporting. Partners with Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, and external stakeholders to develop financial models, reporting frameworks, and risk financing strategies that support organizational objectives. Oversees financial processes, reporting controls, and operational activities related to insurance and risk finance programs.
Directs financial management, accounting, and reporting activities associated with enterprise insurance and captive programs.
Oversees claims accounting, loss reserving, collateral management, and insurance-related financial reporting activities.
Develops and maintains general ledger structures, allocation methodologies, and financial processes supporting insurance and risk management programs.
Leads financial analysis and modeling activities related to insurance renewals, risk retention strategies, and total cost of risk evaluation.
Directs the financial strategy, reporting framework, and renewal planning for enterprise insurance programs by establishing renewal priorities and timelines, overseeing the development of reporting, dashboards, and financial analyses that inform risk management decisions, and ensuring the delivery of financial requirements and process enhancements that support evolving insurance program structures and organizational objectives.
Collaborates with Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, brokers, carriers, auditors, and external partners to support financial governance and operational alignment across risk programs.
Oversees team operations, work priorities, and performance activities related to insurance finance and accounting functions.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, risk management, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
10-15 years of experience in finance, accounting, insurance, risk management, or a related field required.
Experience with captive insurance financial operations, insurance accounting, or risk financing programs required.
Experience with captive insurance financial operations, insurance accounting, and risk financing programs required.
Experience leading strategic initiatives and influencing cross functional stakeholders required. Knolwedge of actuarial science, construction industry insurance coverages and claims, working with insurance carriers, brokers, reinsurance structures, or alternative risk financing arrangements preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), or a related certification preferred.
Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) preferred.
Successful completion of a background check is required.
