The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for the overall strategic focus and operational planning for the activities and resources of the Pharmacy Department. This role provides leadership and support in operations, clinical practice, regulatory compliance, budgetary and financial stewardship, and is a strategic partner to the administrative team, broadly supporting local strategy and initiatives. The Director of Pharmacy ensures optimal provision and coordination of services and resources and oversees implementation of patient medication safety strategies, ensures utilization of best practice clinical programs and cost savings initiatives to operations and standardizes processes where appropriate while working in alignment with the system pharmacy team and director colleagues across the enterprise to standardize, align, and elevate pharmacy practice to drive a standardized and patient centric care experience.
Sutter Memorial Medical Center is one of the Central Valley's leading acute care hospitals and a key facility within the Sutter Health network. Located in Modesto, California, the hospital is licensed for 419 beds and serves patients throughout Stanislaus County and the surrounding region. It is designated as a Level II Trauma Center, providing advanced emergency and critical care services for complex injuries and medical emergencies.

Pay Range is $220,064.00 to $352,102.40 / annual salary
The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
