Job Description

Company Overview

Regenity Biosciences designs and manufactures bioresorbable implants that support the body’s natural ability to regenerate tissue and bone. Founded in 1997 as Collagen Matrix, the company pioneered xenograft-based resorbable devices and, following its 2022 acquisition of Dutch synthetic-polymer specialist Polyganics, rebranded as Regenity. It is headquartered in Paramus, New Jersey, with additional U.S. sites and operations across the Netherlands, Belgium, Brazil, and India.

The company operates as both a branded manufacturer and an end-to-end CDMO partner, taking medtech companies from material selection through design, regulatory approval, and commercial-scale production. Nearly three decades of biomaterials work has produced deep expertise in collagen, bioceramics, and synthetic polymers — more than 30 million devices produced, 80+ commercially available product lines, 170+ regulatory approvals worldwide, and partners in more than 80 countries. Five ISO 13485, MDSAP-certified, FDA-registered facilities across the U.S. and Europe total over 170,000 square feet and ship more than 5 million devices annually.

Regenity is privately held and growing quickly, with headcount up roughly 25% year over year. This role sits with the Chief Innovation and Strategy Officer and is the company’s front door to the external innovation ecosystem — finding the technologies, startups, and partnerships that will shape what Regenity builds next.

Job Overview:

The Director, Innovation & Strategy is responsible for identifying and initiating external innovation opportunities aligned to strategic platform priorities. This role serves as the company’s primary interface with the external innovation ecosystem, generating a high-quality pipeline of technologies, startups, and partnerships.

The role reports to the Chief Innovation and Strategy Officer and has no direct reports. It is an outward-facing position — building relationships across the venture, academic, and startup communities, representing the company at conferences and pitch events, and framing early-stage opportunities clearly enough for executive decision-making.

Products:

  • Regenity’s technology platforms span collagen (extracellular matrix, gelatin, soluble, reconstituted, coatings and films), bioceramics, synthetic polymers (co-polymers, polyurethanes, fumarates, thermoplastics, tissue adhesives), specialty metals, and bioactive agents including hyaluronic acid, chitosan, and growth factors.
  • Dental — private-label collagen membranes (MatrixDerm®, MatrixMem™, Matrix Flex™), anorganic and synthetic bone graft substitutes (MatrixOss™, SynOss™), and collagen dental wound dressings.
  • Dural Repair — a full line of collagen dural repair products, including onlay and suturing solutions, offered across a range of resorption times, suture strengths, and conformability levels.
  • Nerve Repair — xenograft and synthetic solutions for bridging, capping, and protecting damaged nerves, built on proprietary collagen-derived or degradable caprolactone co-polyester materials to promote functional recovery and prevent neuroma.
  • Orthopedics, Spine & Sports Medicine — xenograft mineral and collagen composite bone graft substitutes, TenoMend™ resorbable collagen tendon wraps, and RejuvaKnee™, a minimally invasive collagen meniscal repair implant that received 510(k) clearance in October 2024.
  • ENT & Wound Care — market-leading nasal packing and wound dressing products built on biodegradable polyurethane esters, used in more than five million surgical procedures worldwide.
  • CDMO Services — material sourcing and processing, prototype development and design engineering, process development and validation, analytical and biological testing, packaging and sterilization validation, regulatory submission support, and commercial-scale manufacturing.
