The ERP Solution Architect will lead the planning, design, and delivery of the future-state ERP implementation. This role will partner with business and IT leaders to translate business requirements into scalable solutions, guide implementation partners, ensure successful project execution from strategy through go-live, and will be responsible for ERP product ownership post go-live.

Location: Chicago, IL (Fully Remote)
Compensation: $150k - 175k base salary + 20% annual bonus incentive
Travel: Occasional travel as needed for project and stakeholder meetings

We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Director, Information Services (ERP Solution Architect) to lead a transformative ERP modernization initiative. In this highly visible role, you will partner with business and technology leaders to design and deliver a future-state ERP ecosystem that supports growth, operational excellence, and innovation across the organization.

As the ERP Solution Architect and business partner, you will guide the organization through implementation strategy, solution design, deployment, and post-go-live optimization. What You'll Do

ERP Strategy & Solution Architecture

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise ERP solutions.
  • Translate business objectives and requirements into scalable, sustainable technology solutions.
  • Drive solution governance and ensure alignment between business goals and technical delivery.
  • Establish technical standards, priorities, and best practices for ERP-related systems and integrations.

Program Leadership & Transformation

  • Partner with implementation consultants and business stakeholders to facilitate process workshops and define future-state operating models.
  • Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution design decisions.
  • Collaborate across functional teams to ensure successful execution of ERP initiatives.
  • Identify project risks, resolve issues proactively, and drive successful outcomes from planning through go-live.

Implementation & Optimization

  • Oversee ERP integrations, data migration, testing, training, and change management activities.
  • Ensure systems are scalable and capable of supporting evolving organizational needs.
  • Serve as the ERP product owner following implementation, driving continuous improvements and optimization opportunities.
  • Support innovation initiatives, including the use of emerging technologies and artificial intelligence.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of ERP solution architecture, implementation, or enterprise systems leadership experience.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following platforms:
    • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (D365 F&SCM)
    • D365 Crowe Metals Accelerator
    • Eniteo
    • JobBoss
    • SAP S/4HANA
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Supply chain management
    • Inventory management
    • Procurement
    • Manufacturing operations
    • Warehouse management processes
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and large-scale business transformation initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading multi-site or multi-company ERP implementations.
  • Background in manufacturing, distribution, metals, supply chain, or industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Microsoft Azure integration services
    • Microsoft Power Platform
    • Microsoft Fabric
  • Experience leveraging data, analytics, and artificial intelligence to improve business outcomes and operational efficiency.
