The Influencer teamis responsible forthe output of content we create for our brand partners. Combining creator/influencer practices and creative practices allows us to imprint community-driven creativity into every post, partnership,campaignor video we create.
The role of the Director, Influencerwithin Blue Hour Studios is to oversee the strategy and execution of influencer and creator marketing projects and deliverables. This person will work to deliver exceptional and inspired content across Blue Hour Studios clients’ influencer programs, using their rich account and influencer strategy experience and strategic direction to translate key businessobjectivesinto clear and concise deliverables.
This position reports to the Vice President, Influencer, and will direct and oversee all social media and influencer/creator programs. They will work closely with the team to guide the development of proposals and content, oversee the contracting and execution of campaigns, manage the influencer marketing team and its administration, and drive the analysis of campaign results to inform future strategy. The ideal candidate is passionate about the social ecosphere, activelyparticipateswithin it, and deeplyunderstands the social/digital media landscape.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
15% Campaign Management:
Lead the strategy and oversee the development, execution, and production of annual and seasonal influencer campaigns in partnership with internal and external business partners.
Direct the vision for influencer identification and outreach, ensuring alignment with brand safety, audience demographics, and campaignobjectives
Drive the development of strategic campaign briefs that provide clear direction for clients and influencers.
Oversee the curation and presentation of influencer recommendations, providing strategic rationale to clients for ranking and approval.
Own the analytics and reporting function for campaigns, translating performance data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for future initiatives.
Manage the influencer marketing team in the daily execution of campaigns, providing mentorship, guidance, and strategic direction.
Serve as the senior point of contact for key client relationships, managing high-levelcommunicationand acting as an escalation point for campaign issues.
Oversee the development and negotiation of influencer agreements, contracts, and scopes of work, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk in partnership with the Legal and Business Affairs Team.
Lead the development of comprehensive post-campaign analyses, presenting key learnings and strategic recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
Leverage deepexpertiseofthe influencer industry to drive innovative strategy development and ensure flawless execution.
Forge strong partnerships with cross-functional agency teams to champion influencer marketing integration andoptimizeour social media presence across all channels.
35% - Strategic Oversight & Thought Leadership
Lead the translation of client goals into strategic, innovative, and integrated creative and media solutions.
Serve as a trusted advisor, providing high-level strategic counsel to key clients and prospects.
Author and present compelling, data-driven points of view that shape client strategy andestablishthe agency as a thought leader.
Drive a deep understanding of our clients' business and competitive landscape to proactivelyidentifyand capitalize on growth opportunities.
Establish and enforce best practices across all disciplines, ensuring a high standard of quality and consistency.
Own the operational framework for digital projects, ensuring the development and optimization of processes, timelines, and integration points to drive efficiency and excellence.
Empower and lead teams to produce all campaign components seamlessly, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Set and manage client and internal team expectations at a strategic level, ensuring alignment and clear communication.
Own the performance of the Influencer team, ensuring they are delivering innovative solutions that align with clients’ goals, and driving the evaluation of client business health through insightful analysis of key metrics.
Deliver powerful thought leadership, consulting on complex business challenges and pioneering innovative solutions.
Champion the use of Blue Hour's resources andtools, andforge strategic collaborations with partner agencies to deliver holistic, integrated business solutions for our clients.
25% Team Supervision:
Lead the mentorship and professional development of the influencer marketing team, overseeing their day-to-day work and long-term growth.
Cultivate a culture of excellence and continuous learning, guiding the team's professional development and ensuring they are experts in Blue Hour's principles, as well as broader industry and media trends.
Oversee the delegation of tasks and manage teamworkloadto ensureoptimalefficiency and quality. Implement and manage a review process to ensure all work meets a high standard before internal or client distribution.
Lead the performance review process for the team,settingclear goals,providingregular feedback, andcreatingactionable development plans to foster career growth.
15% New Business:
Drive the insights strategy around social media platforms, influencers, and competitive trends to inform the strategic direction of new business proposals.
Leading the development of innovative influencer strategies and tactical plans that directly address client goals.
Driving the use of analytics tools and fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams to unearth powerful insights that form the foundation of our strategic recommendations.
Owning the strategic vetting and selection of influencers, vendors, and technologies, ensuring they align with our standards for quality, operational efficiency, and profitability.
Serve as the senior point of contact for new business opportunities, leading communication with prospective clients and internal teams.
Lead the development of all influencer marketing materials for agency pitches, ensuring our capabilities are presented effectively and strategically.
Represent the influencer marketing team in key internal and client meetings, driving strategic conversations and fostering a culture of open communication and collaboration.
10% Insights & Marketing:
o Thought leadership inidentifyingsocial media influencer platforms, partners, and technologies, constantly looking for operational and cost efficiencies
o Continuously assess the competitive social media landscape and constantly innovate todifferentiate BlueHour Studios’ practice
o Leadkey projects related to marketing Blue Hour’s influencer/creator practice (i.e.developmentof thoughtleadership, events, marketing materials, conference attendance, etc.)
o Attend industry events to share insights with Blue Hour
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Director will manage members of the Influencer team.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Minimum10+ years of influencer marketing experiencerequired
Maintains strategic relationships with digital influencers, talent management, and other key stakeholders within the influencer industry
Has a proventrack recordof managing successful social/digital campaigns across social platforms (TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube,etc)
Experience with digital reporting, data, and analytics
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Very proficient with Microsoft Office (Word,Powerpoint, and Excel) and presentation formats like Google Slides
BA/BSrequired(Communications, Advertising,Marketingor related field)
Salary Range: $2,788.46 to $3,461.54 a week. A successful applicant’s actual weekly or hourly rate may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity.
