Job Description

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Director II, Product Line Management to join our growing team.

The Role

The Director of Product Line Management – Interior Doors serves as the strategic leader and P&L owner of our Interior Doors business. This role is responsible for defining and executing the product portfolio strategy, driving profitable margin enhancement and revenue growth, strengthening market leadership, and delivering market driven solutions that meet the evolving needs of builders, dealers, distributors, architects, and homeowners.

The Interior Door Director leads a team of Product Line Managers and Associate Product Line Managers, working closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Customer Experience, and Operations to optimize portfolio performance and accelerate new product development. The successful candidate will combine strong business acumen, market insight, and operational understanding to drive product decisions that improve revenue, profitability, customer satisfaction, and market share.

Business Leadership and Portfolio Ownership

• Own the Interior Doors portfolio P&L, including revenue growth, profitability, pricing strategy, mix optimization, and investment prioritization.
• Develop and execute the long-term business strategy and product roadmap for Interior Doors across all channels and customer segments.

Market and Customer Strategy

• Serve as the voice of the customer by translating customer insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence into actionable product strategies.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to identify emerging opportunities, unmet customer needs, and shifts in market demand.

Product Development and Commercialization

• Lead cross-functional teams through the stage-gate process from concept through commercialization.
• Prioritize product development investments that improve customer value, profitability, quality, manufacturability, and competitive differentiation.
• Ensure all new product development initiatives have clearly defined value propositions, financial justification, customer requirements, and launch plans.
• Partner with Engineering and Operations to successfully implement new products, features, material changes, and manufacturing improvements.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Build strong partnerships across Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and Supply Chain.
• Provide product expertise to support major customer opportunities, strategic negotiations, line reviews, and commercial initiatives.

Team Leadership and Talent Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Product Line Managers and Associate Product Line Managers.
• Establish clear expectations, development plans, and succession strategies for team members.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in Product Management, Product Line Management, Marketing, Business Leadership, or related commercial functions.
• 3+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Demonstrated success managing complex product portfolios and driving profitable growth.
• Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, pricing strategy, portfolio management, and new product development processes.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or durable goods environment.
• Strong analytical, financial, and strategic planning capabilities.
• Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive organizational alignment.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

Preferred

• MBA or advanced business degree.
• Experience within building products, doors, windows, millwork, construction materials, or related industries.
• Experience managing large-scale product launches and commercialization efforts.
• Expertise in stage-gate product development methodologies.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, VAVE, and portfolio optimization practices.
