Roles & Responsibilities

Compensation & Rewards Management

  • Manage the end-to-end annual remuneration review cycle and long-term deferred compensation arrangements, including salary reviews, bonus awards, promotions and ad hoc remuneration reviews, as well as system testing, long term incentive allocation, and the review of compensation and promotion letters.
  • Review and enhance employee benefits and wellness programmes to ensure cost-effectiveness, competitiveness against market practice, alignment with employee needs, and consistency with the overall reward strategy.
  • Prepare and review remuneration-related analyses, reports, proposals and documentation for management and stakeholder approval, including materials for the Nomination and Remuneration Committee (NRC), CG-5 documentation and required regulatory reporting.
  • Perform market benchmarking and analyze industry compensation standards to keep the company's compensation packages competitive.
  • Participate in job architecture projects initiated from Group HR, including compensation grade and job profile initiatives, as required.

Governance, Regulatory Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure remuneration practices and related governance arrangements comply with HKMA CG-5 guidelines and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular reviews of the HR directives and HR instructions to reflect current practices and regulatory requirements, ensuring accessibility and understanding among employees.
  • Support operational-risk reviews, vendor and third-party risk assessments, and the maintenance of relevant HR policies and governance documentation.
  • Uphold HR data governance through data-quality checks, clear documentation of reporting definitions, and compliance with applicable data privacy requirements.

Budgeting and HR analytics

  • Lead and coordinate the annual HR budget planning and consolidation process, including the preparation of headcount and projected cost analyses to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain HR dashboards and regular reports on workforce metrics, including headcount, turnover, recruitment, absenteeism, diversity, and employee movements.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits, remuneration, HR governance, HR analytics or a related HR function.
  • Experience in the financial services industry or another highly regulated environment is required.
  • Strong knowledge of HKMA CG-5 remuneration governance requirements, Hong Kong employment legislation and relevant regulatory expectations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
