Job Description

About the role and team

As Head of Restaurant Operations for APAC Delivery Central Operations, you will own the regional restaurant strategy, leading a team of ~14 spanning merchant growth, product and experience, merchant technology, and strategic brand partnerships.

You will set the APAC restaurant agenda on key strategic objectives — defining strategy, guardrails and operating standards that create regional leverage, then partnering with country GMs and local Merchant Ops to translate that strategy into market execution.

The role sits at the intersection of country GMs, Commercial, Consumer Ops, Finance and Product. Success requires the judgement to set strategy under competing constraints, and the credibility to manage multiple senior stakeholder sets without direct reporting lines.

What you'll do

  • Team leadership: Lead, develop and scale a ~14-person multi-layer organisation, including managing and coaching pod leads and senior ICs.
  • Merchant growth strategy: Set the regional strategy and north-stars for the value restaurants offer to customers — including investment priorities, measurement standards and scalable ways of working with local teams and Consumer Ops.
  • Restaurant product and experience: Own regional product launch governance and merchant experience programmes, ensuring products scale effectively across APAC and that merchant and AM feedback informs priorities.
  • Merchant technology and integrations: Define the regional merchant tech agenda, driving integrations and adoption that improve how restaurants operate and grow on the platform.
  • Strategic brand and commercial partnerships: Partner with Commercial to accelerate priority brand growth across APAC, create a consistent view of performance, and act as the connector between GMs, Commercial, central/local Ops and global functions.
  • Multi-stakeholder leadership: Serve as a senior partner to the Regional GM, country GMs and local Merchant Ops leads, and to Commercial, Consumer Ops, Marketplace Ops, Finance and Product — turning competing inputs into decision-ready recommendations.

Basic Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in operations, strategy, commercial or business leadership, with a proven track record of setting and executing strategy across a multi-market portfolio.
  • Leadership: Experience leading, mentoring and developing high-performing teams, including leading through managers.
  • Strategy under constraint: Demonstrated ability to set clear strategy, priorities and guardrails in ambiguous, multi-party environments.
  • Stakeholder management: Proven ability to manage and influence multiple senior stakeholder sets without relying on direct authority.
  • Business and financial acumen: High degree of commercial and financial acumen, with the analytical skill set to make investment trade-offs using data.
  • Exceptional communication: Outstanding communication ability, articulating complex problems concisely for executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success designing and executing merchant or marketplace growth strategy across a multi-country portfolio.
  • Experience in online food delivery and/or restaurant technology.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
