Responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and monitoring of person-centered services for individuals receiving DDS-funded supports, including Community Living Arrangements (CLA), Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF), and Continuous Residential Programs. Ensures individualized Person-Centered Plans are effectively implemented through supports, services, and daily activities that promote independence, community inclusion, health and wellness, and quality of life.
Provides leadership to ensure services are responsive to each individual's strengths, needs, preferences, and goals while maintaining compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Oversees program systems and quality improvement efforts that support effective service delivery, positive outcomes, and operational excellence. Collaborates with the Vice President to develop and refine systems, processes, and initiatives that enhance program quality, consistency, and efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Other Duties May Be Assigned)
Person-Centered Planning & Active Treatment
• Integrates, coordinates, and monitors each individual's active treatment.
• Ensures initial and ongoing assessments accurately identify individual needs, strengths, preferences, and support requirements.
• Assists in the development, implementation, and review of Individual Service Plans (ISPs) in collaboration with individuals served, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Promotes person-centered practices by ensuring services are based on the interests, goals, strengths, needs, and preferences of individuals served.
• Ensures all Individual Service Plans meet applicable regulations and Marrakech policy requirements.
• Works with the Behavior Support Department and consultants in the development and implementation of proactive behavioral support programs.
Program Development & Service Quality
• Assists in the supervision of Direct Support Staff regarding active treatment and implementation of program plans.
• Demonstrates and implements incidental teaching strategies.
• Provides input into the development of daily program schedules to ensure activities support learning, skill development, and life enrichment goals.
• Conducts regular visits to program sites to monitor service quality and effective program implementation.
• Supports the development of new programs and service models in response to emerging needs and industry trends.
Staff Training, Coaching & Professional Development
• Trains Coordinators and Managers in program development and person-centered planning through ongoing meetings and training activities.
• Assists with training Managers and Directors on program-related outcome measures.
• Provides resources, education, and professional development opportunities to ensure staff remain current with evidence-based practices.
• Trains staff on documentation standards, data systems, and program requirements.
Quality Assurance, Compliance & Risk Management
• Conducts internal audits at least monthly to evaluate program quality and compliance.
• Audits program systems and processes to ensure required practices are consistently implemented across sites.
• Ensures habilitative programming complies with all applicable regulatory, accreditation, and certification requirements, including DDS, DPH, and CARF standards.
• Oversees incident review processes and ensures appropriate follow-up, corrective actions, and prevention strategies are implemented.
• Implements corrective action plans resulting from audit findings, data analysis, and quality improvement activities.
Data Analysis, Outcomes & Performance Management
• Analyzes program data and trends to support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Develops and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) related to program effectiveness and individual outcomes.
• Oversees systems for documenting and tracking supports provided, participant attendance, progress toward goals, and service outcomes.
• Reports program performance, trends, and recommendations to executive leadership.
Leadership & Organizational Support
• Attends interdisciplinary and management team meetings as needed to provide programmatic expertise and support.
• Collaborates with operational and clinical leaders to ensure consistent implementation of person-centered practices, active treatment, and quality standards across programs.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assists the Vice President of Residential Services as needed
• Attends the IRMS meeting and reviews incident reports for trends
• Participates on the Human Rights Committee as needed
• Completes DDS Investigator training course and participates in Investigator pool conducting investigations when needed
• Completes Monthly Executive Report in time to be reviewed during monthly supervision with supervisor
• Conducts peer reviews as requested
• Follows Marrakech's policies, procedures, and protocols
• Operates motor vehicles safely and in accordance with State Law (agency and personal automobiles) while on work related duties.
• Reports unsafe conditions and situations immediately per agency policy and procedures
• Serves all customers with alacrity
• Communicates with co-workers and other providers accurately and professionally
• Represents the values, mission and vision of the organization
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervises the Coordinator of Habilitative Services, and any consultants secured to assist in program and service development. Makes recommendations for hiring, training, evaluation, and personnel action for all staff within Habilitative services.
• Provides support and supervision to Directors, Coordinators and Managers as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) or eligibility for that status. Master's degree in related field and two years related experience, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of program management and supervisory experience is required.
