What’s the role?

As a Director, Group Strategy, you'll help shape the strategic direction of Westpac by partnering with senior leaders to solve complex business challenges and identify opportunities for growth. You'll lead strategic projects from problem definition through to recommendation and execution, delivering insights that support key business decisions across the Group. You'll work closely with executive stakeholders, influence strategic outcomes and help translate strategy into practical and achievable actions. You'll also play a key role in building capability within the Strategy team through coaching, collaboration and thought leadership.

• Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to solve complex business problems and navigate ambiguity.
• Experience developing insights and recommendations that support business and strategic decision-making.
• The ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting data and developing evidence-based recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting complex ideas in a clear and compelling way.
• Experience leading projects and bringing people together to deliver outcomes in complex environments.
• Knowledge of financial services, banking or a similarly regulated industry
