Job Description

Join our new Portfolio Delivery & Enablement (PDE) branch, accountable for managing the lifecycle of Finance Technology and Commercial (FTC) divisions portfolio of projects, delivering a pathway for end-to-end execution, and for providing enabling services to the division to ensure efficient and effective operations.

Shape the governance, assurance and delivery standards that strengthen confidence and performance across a complex project portfolio.

Lead strategic improvement, build professional capability and embed consistent, high-quality practices across Finance, Technology Commercial.

In this role you’ll

  • Establish and continually improve integrated governance, assurance and project delivery frameworks across the portfolio.
  • Lead assurance activities, including health checks, gateway reviews and performance assessments across cost, schedule, risk, change and benefits.
  • Strengthen portfolio management systems, policies, tools and standards to support consistent, transparent and high-quality delivery.
  • Build project management and project controls capability by developing teams, mobilising specialist expertise and promoting continuous learning.
  • Provide strategic advice and executive reporting, using assurance insights and evidence to support risk-informed decisions and sustained performance improvement.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, integrity and collaboration that enables teams to achieve organisational and portfolio objectives.

About you

You are a strategic and influential leader with extensive experience in governance, assurance, portfolio management or program delivery within complex organisations. You bring deep expertise in project controls, including cost, schedule, risk, change and performance management, and a strong record of embedding practical frameworks that improve delivery confidence.

You excel at translating strategy into practical frameworks, building organisational capability and driving continuous improvement. Comfortable operating at the executive level, you provide trusted advice, influence stakeholders and lead teams through change. Your ability to balance assurance, performance and delivery outcomes enables you to deliver lasting organisational impact and uplift.

Relevant tertiary qualifications and recognised project management or governance certification is essential for this role.
