We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Director of Global Supply Chain to lead the end-to-end supply chain strategy and logistics execution for a global business division. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for transforming supply chain performance, building high-performing global teams, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes.

As a key member of the Business Unit leadership team, you will develop and execute the global supply chain strategy across planning, inventory, logistics, distribution, and service operations. You will drive operational excellence, improve customer satisfaction, optimize working capital, and create scalable processes that support continued business growth. Success in this role requires a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable driving enterprise initiatives and leading teams through change. What will you do:

Lead Global Supply Chain Strategy

  • Develop and execute the end-to-end supply chain strategy supporting business growth, customer experience, and operational excellence.

  • Lead global planning, inventory management, logistics, transportation, distribution, and service supply chain operations throughout the product and service lifecycle.

  • Partner closely with Operations, Commercial, Finance, and Service leadership to align supply chain capabilities with business priorities and Annual Operating Plans.

  • Build scalable, standardized global processes that improve responsiveness while reducing total supply chain cost.

Drive Supply Chain Performance

  • Deliver best-in-class performance across On-Time In-Full (OTIF), fill rate, inventory availability, forecast accuracy, and customer service metrics.

  • Optimize inventory investment through improved forecasting, replenishment strategies, safety stock optimization, and planning processes.

  • Improve working capital performance by reducing excess and obsolete inventory while ensuring high service levels.

  • Lead Sales, Operations & Inventory Planning (SIOP) processes to balance customer demand, operational capacity, and inventory investment globally.

  • Develop long-range capacity and network plans supporting service parts, instrument availability, transportation, and distribution.

  • Utilize data analytics and business intelligence to identify risks, improve decision-making, and proactively address supply chain challenges.

Lead Global Logistics Operations

  • Provide strategic leadership for global transportation, distribution, and third-party logistics (3PL) operations.

  • Optimize domestic and international transportation networks for instruments, service parts, replacement units, and customer returns.

  • Improve warehouse operations, reverse logistics, refurbishment, and asset recovery programs.

  • Develop strategic carrier relationships that improve cost, service, and reliability.

  • Ensure compliance with global trade regulations, import/export requirements, hazardous materials handling, and applicable transportation regulations.

  • Establish robust operational reporting and KPI dashboards that drive accountability and continuous improvement.

Lead High-Performing Teams

  • Inspire, coach, and develop a geographically diverse global organization while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Build organizational capability through talent development, succession planning, and strategic recruiting.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives that improve customer experience and business performance.

  • Establish clear performance objectives and meaningful development plans that enable employees to grow and succeed.

  • Serve as a trusted business partner and influential leader across the organization.

How will you get here:

Education

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.

MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience within a complex global organization.

  • Minimum of 7 years leading and developing high-performing teams.

  • Deep expertise in supply chain planning, materials management, inventory optimization, and logistics operations.

  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale operational improvements and supply chain transformation initiatives.

  • Strong business acumen with experience balancing customer service, operational performance, and financial objectives.

  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead through organizational change.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across global functions.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

  • APICS/ASCM Certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent)

  • Lean Manufacturing Certification

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt

  • Experience supporting a global service-based business model

  • Knowledge of managerial accounting principles, including working capital and balance sheet management

  • Experience leveraging ERP systems, advanced planning solutions, and data analytics to improve supply chain performance
