Primary Purpose of Role
TheDirector of Global Supply Chain(GSC)Functional Excellenceisresponsible for enhancing and overseeing the efficient progress of global supply chainprocesses. This roledirectsand managestheglobal Bill-of-Material (BOM) team,directs,and managestheglobalpackagingteam, managestheglobal(GSC)program initiatives,meetsregulatory and other corporate compliance requirements,along with overseeing the Operational Excellence (OE) deliverables fortheResponsivenesspillarThe individual will be entrusted with the task of addressing and solving complex operational problems that could potentially affect their unit and other associated departments. This role necessitates managing a team,developing,and executing mid to long-termstrategicgoals that are in line with organizational objectives, and influencing others to adoptimprovedpractices &methods
Key Responsibilities
Monitor, evaluate, and provide regular feedback on employee growth and implementing improvement as needed
Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives tomaintaina motivated workforce – positively represent corporate communications to influence outcomes that support business strategies
Ensure compliance with Allison Policies and manage employee relations matters as needed.
Leads a team of salaried employees with indirect oversight of a small hourly population in bill of material,globalpackaging, and Global Supply Chain functional excellence supportingOEplantdesignand layoutcriteria.
Direct and manageOperational Excellenceresponsivenesspillar; with special focus on direct and indirect material movement (including scrap) and delivery within the plant from/to receiving/shipping dock to/from fabrication & assembly operations (leading organization's journey to be fork-truck free on the operations floor).
Drive improvements to the operationsteams and operationsof the global supply chain to ensure functional excellence (thru identifying, standardizing, training, measuring and helping to improve key performance metrics and processes for GSC)
Troubleshoot and resolve complex operational issues that could affect the performance or productivity of thesupply chain orplantoperations.
Complies withregulatory & other corporatepolicies.
Develop,implement,and oversee continuous improvementand strategicinitiatives within the global supply chain to optimize performance.
Direct the planning and execution of program launches to ensure an organized and effective rollout.
Lead and mentor a team of both direct,indirect reportsand3PLresources.
Influence and communicate effectively with executive leadership to gain acceptance of practices and methodologies associated with global supply chain functional excellence.
Handle additionalresponsibilities such as providing GSC guidance andsupport for other Allison Transmission operations such as Auburn Hills / Walker or driving synergy projects with other Allison Off-highway plants/PDCs.

Competencies andBehaviors
Required:
Exceptional ability to solve complex and multifaceted problems in an effective manner.
Strong leadership capabilities, with experience managing teams and implementing change.
Proficient understanding of global supply chains and continuous improvement methodologies, including 6-sigma (DMAIC/Root-Cause Analysis/Cause-Effect-Analysis/Failure Mode-Analysis/SIPOC/Control Charts), lean management (VSM/Kanban/Gemba/Kaizen etc) and other established practices.
Outstanding communication skills, especially in influencing others to accept practices and initiatives.
Ability to work with professionals from various cultures andbackgrounds
Proficiency in supply chain management software and related applications.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and proficiency in other data management and statistical tools
Qualifications
Required:
BachelorsDegree in Supply Chain, Engineering (Mechanical/Production/ Industrial or other relevant discipline), Business or other related areas.
Preferred:
Master’ Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering (Mechanical/Production/ Industrial or other relevant discipline), Business, orotherrelated fields
APICS CPIM, SCM, or related certification
Lean / Six Sigma experience, certification
Project Management certification

15+ year experience as a leader in Global Supply Chain role.
Experience with SAP ERPsystem
