About the Role
We're seeking a Director, Global Safety Regulatory Compliance to spearhead Match Group's efforts to ensure portfolio-wide corporate compliance with global regulations focused on online trust and safety. Sitting on the central Trust & Safety team, this role develops solutions for evolving regulatory requirements, leads cross-functional compliance programs, and serves as the primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries related to trust and safety.
You'll work closely with a wide array of stakeholders - Legal, Privacy, Government Relations, Communications, Product Management, and T&S stakeholders to translate regulatory developments into action. You will oversee transparency reporting and other required disclosures, initiatives around critical safety matters like age assurance and countering NCII, and manage a team contributing to these efforts. This role requires strong analytical judgment, exceptional written and oral communication skills, and comfort operating as the bridge between regulators, internal governance stakeholders, and product teams.
Work closely alongside Government Relations and Legal teams to analyze current and upcoming global regulations pertaining to trust and safety on dating platforms, maintaining a centralized repository of compliance requirements
Socialize information about safety regulations with stakeholders at each of Match Group’s brands, with an emphasis on enabling brand-level innovation and providing ample development runway
Delivering written and verbal regular executive-level briefings on regulatory themes and compliance status
Manage and iterate on programs to implement regulatory compliance requirements across all Match Group brands, including project plans, timelines, and milestones
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely implementation, and report on project status to senior leadership
Collaborate with legal, policy, and communications teams on regulatory engagement and advocacy strategy, including input on policy positions and external communications
Oversee the delivery and development of transparency reports and other required disclosures, coordinating with data science and analytics leads on data needs
Maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance activities, including policies, procedures, and audit reports, and conduct regular audits
Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries, drafting responses, coordinating internal resources, and facilitating proactive "no surprises" communication with regulators on new features and developments
Manage and develop team members contributing to these initiatives
8–12 years of experience in regulatory compliance, Trust & Safety, public policy, or a related field, including 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity
Strong familiarity with major global regulations affecting online trust and safety
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing executive-level briefings and regulator-facing documentation
Proven program management skills, including the ability to build project plans, drive cross-functional alignment, and report progress to senior leadership
Experience coordinating with Legal, Government Relations, and Communications teams on regulatory strategy
Direct experience handling regulatory inquiries, audits, or transparency reporting
People management experience, with a demonstrated ability to develop and grow a team
High degree of independence, ownership, and judgment in ambiguous, fast-moving environment
