Director, Global Process Owner - Invoice to Cash (I2C)

Dentsply Sirona is looking for an experienced and forward-thinkingDirector, Global Process Owner – Invoice to Cash (I2C) to take global ownership of one of the most critical finance value streams.

This role carries end-to-end accountability for the global Invoice to Cash process — driving governance, standardization, and measurable performance improvements across regions, business units, and legal entities. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing the organization toward a fully integrated global operating model while delivering tangible improvements in working capital, operational efficiency, and service performance.

Operating within the strategic direction set by the Senior Director, GBS, the Director will lead the continued expansion of standardized I2C processes and service delivery, with the opportunity to support future evolution toward an integrated Order to Cash (O2C) scope as the organization matures.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own and govern end-to-end global Invoice to Cash processes, including credit, billing, collections, cash application, dispute management, and related operational controls.
  • Define and maintain best-in-class global process standards and operating principles supporting consistency, scalability, and performance.
  • Translate GBS strategy into a practical I2C execution roadmap covering standardization priorities, service delivery models, and phased deployment.
  • Lead the expansion of I2C process coverage from current regional or entity-based support toward enterprise-wide adoption while maintaining operational stability and managing risk.
  • Support readiness assessment and future expansion toward Order to Cash in collaboration with Commercial, Customer Service, and Finance leadership.
  • Own global I2C performance outcomes, including improvements in DSO, overdue receivables, bad debt, dispute cycle time, automation rates, and service levels.
  • Drive working capital improvements through effective credit risk management, collections strategies, dispute resolution, and customer payment behavior optimization.
  • Establish and govern global performance management frameworks, including KPIs, targets, dashboards, and executive reporting.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives translating standardization, automation, and analytics into measurable gains in efficiency, quality, and cash flow.
  • Own global I2C policies, procedures, and process documentation, supporting consistent application across regions and entities.
  • Partner with Internal Controls, Audit, and Compliance teams to embed appropriate controls and SOX considerations.
  • Act as the primary operational escalation point for complex or multi-regional I2C challenges.
  • Maintain governance forums and mechanisms supporting process discipline and risk management.
  • Act as business owner for global I2C technology platforms, accountable for adoption, enhancements, and value realization.
  • Lead deployment of automation, AI capabilities, and system enhancements in partnership with IT, Data Privacy, and Compliance.
  • Provide guidance to regions and business units evaluating I2C-related technology solutions aligned with the GBS roadmap.
  • Lead and develop the global I2C organization with full accountability for performance and delivery.
  • Design and evolve the future-state I2C organizational structure to support expanded global coverage.
  • Partner with GBS leadership to identify capability gaps and build scalable team models.
  • Drive training, capability building, and talent development across the I2C function.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Commercial, Customer Service, Master Data Management (MDM), FP&A, Tax, Legal, IT, Internal Audit, and regional leadership.
  • Provide operational insights supporting executive decision-making and governance forums.
  • Collaborate with other Global Process Owners to strengthen end-to-end finance integration.
  • Perform additional duties aligned with the scope and seniority of the role as assigned by the Senior Director, GBS.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (Finance, Accounting, or related field).
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Finance Operations, Invoice-to-Cash / Order-to-Cash, Shared Services, or Global Process Ownership.
  • Proven experience as a Global Process Owner or senior GBS leader with end-to-end accountability across multiple regions, business units, and legal entities.
  • Experience leading large, geographically distributed I2C organizations in a Global Business Services or shared services environment.
  • Demonstrated success scaling standardized global processes, onboarding new regions or entities, and stabilizing operations during expansion.
  • Strong track record delivering working capital improvements, including DSO reduction and bad debt governance.
  • Experience working in complex, matrixed organizations and partnering with Commercial, Customer Service, MDM, IT, Internal Controls, and Audit.
  • Hands-on experience leading finance transformation initiatives, including automation, ERP-driven process change, and analytics or AI adoption.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders, translate strategy into execution, and lead change at scale.
  • Experience in enterprise-wide process ownership within GBS or SSC environments.
  • Experience expanding process scope from regional to global coverage.
  • Exposure to Order-to-Cash integration initiatives.
  • Experience supporting M&A integrations, divestitures, or large organizational changes.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of how finance operations, customer experience, and working capital create enterprise value.
  • Customer-oriented service mindset combined with strong governance awareness.
  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder partnership and relationship-building capability.
