The Director of Global Learning serves as the architect and steward of Miami Country Day School’s global education program. Working in close partnership with faculty and academic leadership, this role designs and oversees immersive, developmentally aligned global learning experiences that are intellectually rigorous, culturally responsive, and deeply student-centered.
The Director ensures that every program—whether local or international—reflects MCDS’s high academic standards, strong risk management practices, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Collaborate with faculty to design global experiences that align with curriculum goals and benchmarks for global and cultural competencies.
Create thoughtfully designed itineraries and learning experiences that balance adventure, academic integrity, and meaningful reflection.
Guide faculty and trip leaders through best-in-class preparation and risk management training to ensure safe, impactful experiences.
Evaluate and refine global programs to ensure they are developmentally appropriate, academically rich, and centered on student growth.
Build lasting partnerships with global organizations and institutions to open new pathways for learning, travel, and service.
Serve as a trusted liaison with international safety and support partners.
Oversee program budgets and collaborate with the Upper School FlexTerm program to ensure alignment and innovation.

At least five years of experience in a school setting or five years plus experience in the education travel field.
Proven experience designing and leading student travel or global learning programs, including logistics, safety, and execution.
Strong project management skills and the ability to bring ideas from vision to reality.
