Your Role | What You'll Be Doing

You will work in multi-disciplinary teams for some of the biggest and most recognized brands in the world, leading projects to help drive their business performance and digital finance transformation agendas. The focus with your team for this position is utilizing Global Business Services (GBS) to help clients centralize and streamline their support functions. Next to our focus on GBS we have Finance operations (FinOps) who optimize financial processes, ensuring efficiency and accountability in managing their resources. And some of our team supports clients around business planning, reporting, and analytics (BPR&A). Together, we focus on aligning finance functions with business goals, ensuring our solutions support both functional excellence and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

Commercial:

• As a Director, your key role will be to work with the current leadership team to drive business growth by drawing on your knowledge, expertise, skills and entrepreneurial mindset.

• You will be responsible for delivering a Go-To-Market for Global Business Services in line with the EY vision and mission.

• You will grow our business through building valued relationships with external clients and position EY in the market through thought leadership and point of views. This in combination with the EY vision on Finance Transformation will allow you to provide innovative insights for clients, adapting our service offerings, solutions, and methods to fit the operational teams and cultural needs.

Delivery:

• You will be responsible for the delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder projects that improve our client’s business performance. You will deliver high-end quality in every step of our projects and prepare clients for a digital future.

• You successfully articulate, design, and implement a vision for GBS and “case for change” that draws on innovative global technology trends, leading practice and service innovation.

• You will oversee and ensure the successful execution of end-to-end GBS transformation programs, while actively managing and mitigating risks.

• You will lead High-Performing teams: Motivate and manage diverse, high-performing teams aligned with EY’s values. You are a true people manager and can bring the EY Transformative Leadership model to life

• You will lead GBS Transition and Transformation Initiatives: Collaborate with clients to assess their current GBS delivery model, develop and implement GBS operating models, processes and governance structures that align with clients’ business objectives

Our Amsterdam office is located at the Zuidas: a bustling area full of companies. In our Cross Towers, we welcome up to 1,500 people every day. Your Skills and Experience | What You Bring

• 12+ years of relevant experience

• Several years of experience in working in The Netherlands.

• You are a professional with a strong network in the industry who can leverage their connections to generate business opportunities

• Expertise in consulting and experience within the field of Global Business Services (GBS) and specific experience in improving and/or automating one or more of the following areas:

• Procure to Pay (P2P)

• Order to Cash (O2C)
• Record to Report (R2R)
• Hire to Retire (H2R)
• Market to Cash (M2C)

• Sufficient holistic knowledge of GBS, in one or more of the following phases:

• GBS key trends
• GBS strategy
• GBS design
• GBS build
• GBS implementation (incl. transitions)
• GBS continuous improvement

• Awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies in finance and operations.

• You are passionate about GBS and can rely on strong knowledge and experience in this field or one of the sub-fields: GBS Strategy, GBS Operating Model, Digital enablement, Global Business Services.

• Proven ability in managing multiple engagements and stakeholders, surpassing client expectations, handling budgets, and effectively mitigating risks

• Extensive experience in leading business development, building networks, identifying opportunities, responding to RFPs, and presenting at events

• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to storyboard and create high quality outputs 

• Track record of managing professional services staff, including coaching and developing staff and building teams

• Strong proficiency in financial support tools, including MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint), with additional experience in SAP, Microsoft BI, HighRadius, BlackLine, being advantageous

• Fluent written and spoken English. Proficiency in Dutch is a significant advantage.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Relevant Professional qualifications are a plus, e.g., CMA/RC, CPA/RA, RE.

• Relevant technical business analyst and/or implementation manager certifications (e.g., SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, etc.)

• Extensive experience with ServiceNow in complex, Enterprise environments.
• Experience in GBS within the public or government sector in the Netherlands is highly desirable. A focus on a specific industry within GBS is an added advantage.
