Job Description

For over 125 years, Calvary Hospital and Calvary @Home located in the Bronx, New York has been dedicated to the palliative care of advanced cancer and other terminally ill patients and their families. Through a caring, compassionate, philosophy of non-abandonment, the hospice provides a full spectrum of palliative services, including emotional, spiritual, and physical care. The hospice receives patients from referring institutions throughout New York City and the entire tristate area. Requirements: Assist in the collection, aggregation and analysis of data for Home Care and Hospice QA&I monitors. Responsible for data entry for intra-departmental monitoring as well as regulatory monitoring. Assists the Assistant Director for Regulatory Compliance and the QA&I/Education Nurse in all educational and compliance activities.

Status: Full-Time

Salary: $140-160k annually

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 2 years data entry experience required with accurate typing ability.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel spreadsheets).
  • Knowledge of graphic display of information. Attention to detail and follow-up; proven organization skills.
  • Knowledge of Oasis.
  • Knowledge of ICD coding.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing.
  • Exhibits an ability and attitude relative to the spirit of caring and tradition at Calvary Hospital as required by specific job duties and functions.
