Job Description

Title: Director of Financial Applications

Location: Jupiter, FL

Employment Type: Full Time/Temp to Perm

The Director Financial Applications Oversees the technology that supports the financial operations of Medical Center to include:

  • Revenue Cycle Management System as a component of the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) including planning, budgeting, HR/HR Payroll, General Ledger and Supply Chain
  • Strategic thinker, understands and considers emerging technologies and processes to facilitate operational efficiencies.
  • Can effectively persuade with respect and encouragement to move organization to next level operations during times of changes. This includes colleagues, customers, team members.
  • Partners with peers and customers in maximizing and optimizing the effectiveness and utility of the application portfolio
  • Knowledge of standard industry trends and developments
  • Advanced analytical skills to synthesize a high volume of information from a variety of sources.
  • Strong strategic abilities, highly organized and detail-oriented, as well as curious and resourceful.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • A team-oriented individual that works collaboratively to achieve team goals.
  • Strong presentation skills, comfortable presenting potentially complex information while synthesizing to a delivery that makes it easy for listeners to comprehend.
  • Maintains appropriate relationships with partners and vendors to understand industry and application trends understanding how it applies to Medical Center.
  • Understands HIPAA and cyber security, effectively communicates requirements to team members and colleagues and assures completion of requirements.
  • Effectively uses and role models current management techniques and theories, encouraging the decision-making skills of staff members and providing insight and leadership in complex situations.
  • Supervises the development of service policies, procedures, and operating guidelines. Collaborates with other services within the division. Ensures that information is disseminated to staff is monitored for effectiveness and changed as needed.
  • Understands and enforces all hospital and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Lead and/or serve on hospital committees, teams, and work groups as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Experience / Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of leading a high performing IT financial applications team
  • Must be familiar with Epic’s Revenue Cycle (ADT, Grand Central, Prelude, Cadence, Hospital Billing, Professional Billing, Referrals, Claims, HIM etc.)
  • At least 5 years of experience in leadership preferably Director level but at least a manager level position.
  • Familiarity working with supply chain as well (they are using WorkDay for their Supply chain).
  • Experience working with third party systems to assist the revenue cycle such as Workday (this would be a huge plus), Clearinghouses, etc.
  • Astute at hiring, training and mentoring of team members
  • Ability to exercise standards of professionalism, including appearance, presentation, and demeanor
  • Familiar with Artificial Intelligence (AI) functions to support both daily needs and the functions he/she supports
