The Director of Food & Nutrition Services Shared Services (FANS) is a pivotal leadership role within Trinity Health Hospitality Services, responsible for the strategic direction, governance, and operational performance of our enterprise foodservice program. This Director-level position will reside in Michigan (relocation available) and will work on-site at the Trinity System HQ four days per week—or in the field, as needed and approved. Reporting to the Vice President of Hospitality & Support Services, the role requires a leader with deep tactical knowledge of foodservice operations, strong understanding of industry trends, and the capability to design and deploy programs that advance our shared services model while delivering exceptional service, product quality, and value across all markets. A Culinary or Business background in Hospitality Services with extensive leadership experience is preferred.

This position provides system-wide oversight and is accountable for ensuring consistent execution of operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, and service standards across multiple regions. The Director will lead the development, standardization, and optimization of programs that support a unified enterprise approach to food and nutrition services.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Strategic leadership of FANS shared service programs, systems, and enterprise-wide initiatives designed to elevate operational outcomes and overall service delivery.
  • Financial stewardship, including labor optimization, overhead management, and margin improvement strategies that strengthen organizational performance.
  • Operational management of enterprise menu programs, emergency preparedness for foodservice operations, supplier relationships, and daily enterprise-wide foodservice functions.
  • Oversight of the enterprise database architecture and ongoing maintenance of Trinity Health’s unified FANS ERP application, including food formularies, diet order sets, and menu structures.
  • Program governance leadership, ensuring standardization, compliance, and effective execution of enterprise initiatives across all markets.
  • Leadership of complex, cross-functional projects that impact system-wide performance, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Coaching and development of leaders to promote consistent operations, readiness for future growth, and strong organizational culture.

This position demands a forward-thinking leader capable of translating industry insights and operational expertise into sustainable, scalable solutions that support Trinity Health’s mission and advance our hospitality and support services across the continuum.
