Job Description
The Director, Facilities & Site Operations will lead a portfolio of complex, compliance driven sites across California, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and reliability. This role is suited for a leader with prior site management experience who is ready to scale their impact by developing and leading multiple site-level teams.
The role is critical to delivering seamless workplace experiences, maintaining strong client relationships, while leading initiatives that focus on cost savings, process optimization, and continuous improvement, championing a world-class workplace environment for employees, clients, and visitors.
This role carries full P&L responsibility and drives cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives and Integrated Facilities Solutions (IFS). The Director will build strong client partnerships, lead diverse teams, and foster a culture of safety, innovation, and accountability.
Required Travel To all sites within the portfolio on a routine basis, to align with business needs.
Pay $165,000 - $200,000
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.

- Leadership & Team Development: Lead and develop a team of Site Managers / Facilities Managers across multiple sites
- Coach, mentor, and act as escalation point for site leaders
- Drive accountability, consistency, and a culture of safety and performance
- Facility Management & Operations: Oversee site-level execution across a regional portfolio, ensuring alignment and performance
- Ensure effective management of engineering systems, maintenance, and integrated services
- Drive standardization while adapting to lab, cleanroom, and manufacturing environments
- Financial Performance Management: Own and optimize portfolio-level P&L performance across multiple sites
- Partner with site leaders on budgets, labor, and vendor spend
- Identify cross-site efficiencies and scalability opportunities
- Client & Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the senior operational leader across the portfolio
- Lead business reviews, KPI reporting, and strategic alignment discussions
- Act as escalation point for critical issues impacting operations
- Project & Vendor Management: Oversee site leaders in managing capital projects and vendor performance
- Ensure consistency in subcontractor management (janitorial, technical cleaning, engineering)
- Drive accountability to SLAs, compliance, and service quality standards
- Workplace Experience Leadership: Ensure workplace services support operational efficiency and productivity
- Guide site leaders in balancing experience with safety and compliance requirements
- Continuous Improvement: Drive standardization and continuous improvement across all sites
- Implement process improvements that enhance uptime, efficiency, and compliance performance
- Strategic Planning & Growth: Align site-level execution with regional strategy and client objectives
- Identify opportunities to scale services, improve performance, and support growth environments
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Required:
- 7-10 years of experience in facilities management, including significant experience in managing workplace experience, integrated facilities solutions, and multi-location operations.
- 3-5 years of leading diverse teams and managing operational, financial, and client relationship outcomes.
- Experience in one or more of the following fields: semiconductor, biotech, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Experience in labs, cleanrooms, or compliance-heavy environments.
- Working Knowledge of Engineering systems, maintenance programs, and vendor management.
- Experience in driving innovation, cost savings, and process improvements within a facilities management or related environment.
- In-depth understanding of P&L management, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and overseeing compliance with industry regulations.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience scaling multi-site portfolios (3–10 sites).
- Certifications such as CFM, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, OSHA, or engineering licenses.
- Background with leading organizations in semiconductor, biotech, or aerospace industries.
