We strive to create a healthy, collaborative work environment where every employee feels valued and inspired to contribute to our vision “Until every human has their health”. If you’re seeking a career that offers purpose and aligns with your values, join us and begin your #Redcareer today.

About the Role:

The Director Facilities Europe is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, and continuous development of Facility Management (FM) across a diverse European real estate and logistics portfolio.

The role encompasses responsibility for three large logistics distribution centers, three smaller warehouses, one large headquarters building, and approximately eight additional office buildings across Europe.

In addition, the role holds overall leadership responsibility for the Technical Engineering function, which manages the maintenance of conveyor and automation systems. This function operates independently and is led day-to-day by a Head of Technical Engineering, who will report into this role.

The position is strategic, people-focused, and governance-oriented, not hands-on or technical-specialist driven.

About your Tasks:

  • Define and execute a forward-looking European Facility Management strategy aligned with business growth, operational resilience, and cost efficiency, driving long-term value creation and sustainability.
  • Hold overall accountability for a diverse international FM portfolio (logistics sites, warehouses, headquarters, and office locations), ensuring governance, compliance, and operational continuity through strong leadership rather than hands-on execution.
  • Lead and empower a decentralized, multi-country FM organization, building high-performing leadership structures, clear accountability models, and a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide strategic direction to Technical Engineering leadership, ensuring strong alignment, prioritization, and organizational effectiveness without requiring deep technical specialization.
  • Own and steer a budget, driving financial transparency, performance management, vendor strategy, and long-term investment planning (CAPEX/OPEX).
  • Establish scalable governance frameworks, KPIs, reporting structures, and management systems, acting as a senior business partner to Operations, Logistics, HR, Finance, and Executive Leadership across Europe.

Qualifications

About You:

  • 10+ years of experience in international Facility Management, preferably in logistics, warehousing, or industrial environments.
  • Proven experience in strategic Facility Managment leadership roles.
  • Experience managing large, multi-country portfolios.
  • Demonstrated budget responsibility in the multi-million euro range
  • Ability to build structure, governance, and scalable processes
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly across European sites
  • English: Fluent / business-level (mandatory), German or Dutch is a strong advantage
