Job Description

Directs, plans, and organizes the activities of the Environmental Services Department. Ensures overall strategic planning, budgeting and quality management of Environmental Services and Linen Departments.

Job Responsibility

• Leads an Environmental Services group by communicating with and developing staff members, and building consensus for programs and goals that support a business, function or geographic area.
• Develops and articulates a short-term strategic vision for areas of responsibility.
• Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Environmental Services and Linen Department.
• Identifies and analyzes needs in all areas on all shifts; investigates new procedures and techniques.
• Develops and implements action plans to meet needs and improve service.
• Develops and monitors strategic operating goals, objectives and budget; reports operational performance, justification and/or corrective action.
• Oversees the development, coordination, integration, communication, implementation, and performance evaluation of operating policies and procedures consistent and in collaboration with all guidelines.
• Develops and manages direct reports; oversees the development and management of their staff.
• Builds and maintains productive inter/intra departmental and vendor work relationships to optimize operations.
• Oversees compliance with government and agency regulations.

Job Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 8-12 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of leadership / management experience, required.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory environments, preferably in healthcare settings.
