Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is$187,341 - $248,229.74Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Join Our Team as a Director - Enterprise Planning & Procurement!

The Director, Enterprise Planning & Procurement leads the company’s end‑to‑end planning and purchasing ecosystem—spanning S&OP leadership, demand/supply planning, enterprise inventory strategy, and procurement execution. This role builds and develops high‑performing teams (demand/supply planners, inventory management, operationally focused buyers) while partnering closely with Value Streams, manufacturing, logistics, sourcing, finance, sales, and quality to synchronize demand and supply, strengthen supplier performance and support reliability, reduce total cost, and elevate customer service levels.

Align and influence value streams to achieve resilient, cost‑effective supply. The director drives policy, business process requirements and governance of Value stream execution practices.

Essential Functions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & S&OP Own and chair S&OP end‑to‑end—connecting sales, marketing, finance, operations, procurement, and logistics to align demand, supply, and financial plans. Lead the development and refinement of forecasting models (historical trends, market intel, customer insights) to improve MAPE and bias.
    Enterprise supply planning: Oversee process definitions, standards and governance of planning across internal and external sources to meet service and cost targets; elevate supply risk visibility and mitigation. Identify and deploy best practices and APS/ERP capabilities (e.g., SAP IBP, Oracle, Kinaxis, automation, analytics) to improve plan quality, responsiveness, and throughput.
  • Inventory Strategy & Governance Build and lead the enterprise inventory function and playbook, including policies, stocking parameters, and governance across make/buy networks. Partner with finance on E&O prevention/reduction, slow‑moving disposition, and inventory accounting alignment. Own inventory KPIs (turns, DOH, E&O $), parameter health (safety stock, lead times, MOQ), and cycle/physical inventory governance.
  • Procurement & Supplier Performance: Oversee end‑to‑end purchasing execution for production and indirect materials: PO placement, confirmations, reschedules/changes, and expediting to support plan attainment. Lead supplier performance management of operational execution matters—monthly scorecards for OTD, quality/PPM, responsiveness, cost, and lead‑time adherence; drive formal recovery plans to ensure continuity of supply. Partner with Sourcing on NPI/PPAP readiness; ensure pilot and launch material availability and cutover execution. Coordinate supplier quality communications, audits, and continuous improvement actions.
  • Cross‑Functional Alignment & Communication Collaborate with value streams, manufacturing, logistics, sourcing, and engineering to minimize disruptions and improve plan adherence. Synthesize supply risk scenarios with commercial demand and communicate recommended actions to senior leadership. Ensure closed‑loop connection across forecasting, supply planning, procurement, logistics, and customer service.
  • Systems, Data & Analytics Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting (Power BI or similar) to monitor forecast accuracy, supply reliability, inventory health, procurement cycle times, and supplier performance. Own master data integrity critical to planning and buying (lead times, yields, MOQ, sourcing rules, calendars). Drive automation and workflow standardization across ERP/APS and supplier portals.
  • Talent Leadership Lead, inspire, and develop a high‑performing team (planning, inventory, buyers); define roles and accountabilities, coach careers, and manage performance. Create training programs (playbooks, video modules, checklists) to embed standard work and accelerate onboarding. Foster a positive, healthy, and inclusive culture that model’s professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with all applicable company policies, safety rules, and ethical sourcing standards.

Education & Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations, Business, or related field.

  • 10+ years in production planning and procurement within industrial manufacturing environment

  • 7+ years leading S&OP, Scheduling, Procurement teams (can be overlapping with planning leadership)

  • Demonstrated success driving supply chain or business transformation in industrial markets.

  • Advance proficiency with ERP and APS (e.g., Oracle required; SAP, Kinaxis, or equivalent), demand planning tools, and data analytics (Power BI/Excel advanced).

  • Deep knowledge of forecasting, supply planning, inventory optimization, and procurement execution.

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills; able to prioritize and lead cross‑functional initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across executive, plant, and supplier audiences.

  • Proven ability to lead large-scale, cross functional transformation initiatives that improve supply chain performance, cost, and service

  • Strong understanding of supplier execution performance management, including OTD, quality/PPM, responsiveness, cost, and lead-time adherence.

  • Ability to influence and align manufacturing, and supplier stakeholders on enterprise priorities.

  • Strong people-leadership skills with the ability to guide teams through change, foster an inclusive culture, and model professionalism and emotional intelligence.

  • Deep expertise in forecasting, demand/supply planning, inventory optimization, and procurement execution.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions, mitigate supply risks, and improve operational performance.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sourcing and supply chain initiatives requiring alignment across multiple functions.

  • Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to coordinate across internal/external resources and manage competing priorities.

  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all team members at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships, collaborate across diverse teams, and drive alignment.

  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams by setting clear expectations, providing actionable feedback, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to champion a data-driven, operational excellence mindset across the organization

Preferred

  • MBA or Master’s in Supply Chain Management

  • APICS/ASCM certifications: CPIM or CSCP

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt

  • Experience in electrical or industrial manufacturing and with PPAP/NPI ramp-ups
  • Demonstrated experience in fabrication, electronics and hardware commodities
