The Director, Enterprise & Solution Architect, will shape the future of our technology infrastructure and technical solutions, ensuring it aligns with the Company’s strategic growth. This senior-level role requires a deep understanding of healthcare systems, technology platforms, customer service & support management, vertical solutions, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity landscape, to help define intake requirements, design and implement robust and scalable enterprise platforms, services and solutions. This role will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the Company’s enterprise technical stack while optimizing the systems and platforms to drive operational efficiency and provide a secure, compliant and effortless customer experience.

Qualifications

Education Required:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

Work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Licenses/Certifications Required:

(ISC)² CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional

ISSAP – Information Systems Security Architecture Professional

Work Experience Required:

  • 7+ years of experience leading enterprise and solution architecture in complex, regulated environments (healthcare preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience leading, mentoring or managing technical teams.
  • Experience architecting and integrating enterprise and clinical technology platforms at scale.
  • Experience partnering with senior leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders on enterprise technology initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications, Education, Licenses, Certifications, Experience, etc.:

  • 10+ years of experience leading enterprise and solution architecture in complex, regulated environments (healthcare preferred).
  • TOGAF® (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Deep knowledge of enterprise and solution architecture within complex, regulated environments, including healthcare ecosystems.
  • Strong skill in designing and integrating cloud platforms, enterprise systems, identity and access management (IAM/IGA), and large‑scale integrations.
  • Ability to define and apply enterprise architecture standards, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps aligned to business strategy.
  • Proven capability to partner with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure secure, compliant, and resilient technology solutions.
  • Working knowledge of AI‑enabled and emerging technologies, with the ability to evaluate and apply them to improve automation, efficiency, and user experience.
  • Ability to translate business and clinical requirements into scalable, reliable technical solutions for diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at the executive level, communicating complex technical concepts clearly to senior leaders and non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong leadership and influence skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and guide technical professionals, including readiness to assume formal people leadership responsibilities as the role evolves.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead without authority in a matrixed environment, driving alignment, accountability, and outcomes across teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Technology, Automation, Planning and Leadership:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business objectives and requirements.
  • Evaluate current technology platforms and solutions to develop and execute comprehensive technology architecture which drives organizational goals and scale.
  • Identify and prioritize key areas for technology platform changes or improvements, including operational efficiency, complicated integrations, digital transformation, and innovation initiatives.
  • Define and drive the implementation of enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to identify high value use cases for AI and machine learning, translating requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Document, monitor, measure, and assess the impact of architecture changes, making necessary adjustments to optimize outcomes and achieve desired results. Develop KPIs and OKRs to maintain consistency and measurement of various project initiatives

Systems Design and Integration:

  • Design, model, test, secure, and implement enterprise‑level systems and applications, ensuring interoperability and seamless integration across the healthcare ecosystem.
  • Define and design scalable, extensible architecture design patterns and socialize as enterprise and solution reference architectures.
  • Assess and select appropriate technologies, platforms, and frameworks to support business, IT, Security, Data Analytics, IT Engineering, IT Support, Clinical technology and Enterprise application needs.
  • Create cost effective, dependable, resilient, extensible, elastic, and scalable design proposals by working collaboratively across the organization with senior business leaders, infrastructure teams, developers, clinical applications, marketing, business transformation, legal, security and compliance teams, and others as necessary.

Security, Privacy and Compliance:

  • Ensure that enterprise technology solutions comply with healthcare regulations, applicable laws, and security requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the cybersecurity team to implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures, including threat modeling, risk assessments, and incident response planning.

Technology Evaluation and Innovation

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing their potential impact and value to the organization.
  • Evaluate & measure our capabilities to the industry and build maturation metrics.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies that evolve the Company’s technical infrastructure and enhance efficiency, performance, and overall capabilities.
  • Collaborate with leadership on the Company’s strategic plan and ensure it includes architecture solutions which align with our mission, vision, and long‑term objectives.
  • Develop conceptual, detailed and data flows architecture, product roadmaps and create project solution architectures to be consumed by various audiences.
  • Challenge current & future vendors to provide AI based functionalities that are aligned to GoHealth automated digital transformation.

Project Oversight:

  • Provide guidance and oversight for technology projects, ensuring that they align with the enterprise architecture and strategic objectives.
  • Lead a technology advisory committee (TAC) to align stakeholders on net‑new technological initiatives or expansion of existing ones.
  • Collaborate with project managers to address technical challenges, business case analysis, prioritization, and mitigate project / deployment risks.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to execute and align strategic priorities and ensure the proper allocation of resources occurs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and external partners, to ensure alignment and support for technology and strategic initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on transformation progress, project milestones, and architectural developments.

Leadership and Management

  • Provide guidance, innovation, and leadership in developing the Company's technical staff through a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to technical staff, and crossfunctional partners, supporting skill development, knowledge sharing, and professional growth.

  • Physical Requirements

    Office Environment: Tasks may be conducted within a climate-controlled office setting
  • Physical Activity: The role may require the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials, supplies, and equipment (up to 30lbs.) Duties typically involve a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with frequent changes in position.
  • Travel: Travel may be required, including travel between Company locations and out-oftown destinations as needed. Travel is reserved for company sponsored in-person events, or customer facing meetings, up to 10%.
  • Driving Requirements: Positions that require driving or travel on behalf of the Company require verification of a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.
