Job Description

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Integration, with an indirect reporting relationship to the System Executive Sponsor, the Director is responsible for leading the development and integration of emergency services access points and models within Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH). Provide consultative and advisory services to BILH's system leaders to organize, implement, and measure the impact of emergency services development and operations initiatives. Responsible for collaborating with system "clients", including BILH and local executives, to define the vision for each initiative and the definition of success. Design and organize the various workstreams and inter-dependencies, being ultimately responsible for the development of a comprehensive workplan and performance measurement plan. Depending on the scope and complexity of the initiative, the Director will serve as, or will oversee the effort of, a project manager overseeing cross-functional teams.

Primary Responsibilities

Understands andis able toeffectively convey toothersBILH'semergency servicesdevelopment and operationspriorities. Collaborates with system service and local leaders toidentifyand articulate potential goals and initiatives in support of these priorities.

Designs,leadsand projectmanagesemergency servicesdevelopment and operationsintegration initiatives that require broad organizational support and input from multiple stakeholders.

Providestrategic insight, analyticexpertise, and project management oversight for cross-functional teams across high-priorityemergency services initiatives.

Oversee the performance of quantitative analyses to support the implementation and monitoring ofemergency services development and operationsinitiatives as well as the coordination of tracking and reporting ofkeymilestones

Effectively prioritize projects to complete work within established guidelines andtimeframe Manage project scope, using projectmanagementbest practices, andanticipateopportunities and risks proactively to ensure the IMO and cross-functional teams are meeting key milestones and deliverables.

Identifyand plan for interdependencies between work streams and keep business leads informed on key issues to ensure cross-functional integration.

Present onproject direction and recommendations to system leadership on integration initiatives, as needed.

Work closely with the executive/senior sponsors of each initiative, as well as BILH Finance and the businessunitCFO's, to generate andvalidateperformance data.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare management, publichealthor related fieldsrequired Master's degree in business administration, healthcare management, publichealthor related fields preferred.

At least 10yearsofrelated work experiencerequiredin healthcare management, project management,operationsor consulting.

At least5years ofEmergency Room operations experience including but not limited to patient flow and throughput, patient experience, patient transfer processes, etc,required

Experience with cross departmental communication and coordination between emergency room and inpatient units, off site departments, ambulancetransportand transfer center operations

Demonstrated skills and experience developing trusted business relationships and managing stakeholders at all leadership levels. Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Experience working in a large, complex healthcare organization.

Strong ability to manipulate,synthesizeand present quantitative data. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration and partnership. Working knowledge of project management methodologies

Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint orAccessand other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, performanalysisandmaintaindatabases.

Pay Range:

$140,000.00 USD - $175,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
