Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a highly skilled Director - District Cooling to oversee the development and management of our advanced district cooling systems. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective design, implementation, and operation of sustainability-focused cooling solutions that enhance the living and recreational experience in Qiddiya. Your leadership will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence and environmental responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning and execution of district cooling projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and sustainability standards.
• Manage the design and engineering processes for district cooling systems, collaborating with internal teams and external consultants to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Oversee all operational aspects of district cooling, ensuring systems are efficient, reliable, and optimally maintained.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to evaluate potential district cooling projects and innovations.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and environmental legislation throughout project implementation.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, community representatives, and service providers.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements, focusing on energy efficiency and sustainability.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports on project developments, budget performance, and operational metrics to senior management.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals in the district cooling department, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Keep abreast of technological advancements and best practices in district cooling and energy management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
• 10-15 years of experience in district cooling, HVAC system management, or related engineering fields.
• Strong project management experience with a proven track record of delivering large-scale engineering projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of energy efficiency principles, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficient in project management and design software relevant to cooling systems.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate data and make informed decisions for system enhancements.
