This role will work closely with the Vice President, Digital & E-Commerce and the Vice President, Sales & Marketing – Greater China to lead and execute the Group's digital and e-commerce strategy across the Greater China region. The role will be based in Hong Kong.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving direct revenue growth, enhancing digital performance, and ensuring regional alignment with global commercial objectives.

The role will lead the development and execution of regional digital marketing and e-commerce initiatives, working in close partnership with property teams to maximise online demand, improve conversion, and strengthen customer engagement across all digital touchpoints. This includes oversight of digital marketing, performance media, content optimisation, AI and search visibility (GEO/SEO), WeChat ecosystem initiatives, CRM-driven campaigns, and other strategic programmes designed to increase direct bookings and market share.

Working collaboratively with corporate, regional, and hotel stakeholders, the individual will ensure the successful localisation and implementation of global digital strategies, platforms, and best practices. The role will also identify opportunities to advance digital maturity, strengthen data-driven decision-making, and drive innovation across the portfolio.

As a key regional digital leader, the successful candidate will champion e-commerce excellence, accelerate adoption of emerging technologies and digital capabilities, and play a critical role in delivering sustainable growth in direct revenue, customer acquisition, and overall commercial performance throughout Greater China.

Key responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee the implementation of the Group’s digital and e-commerce strategy across Greater China.
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic and tactical regional initiatives to drive direct revenue growth and e-commerce performance.
  • Partner closely with property-level E-Commerce teams to optimize digital performance, website conversion, customer acquisition, and direct channel contribution.
  • Collaborate with global and regional digital marketing partners to maximize the effectiveness and return on investment of digital marketing activities across the region.
  • Work closely with Regional Revenue, Sales & Marketing, and Commercial leaders to support business objectives and drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on regional digital performance, market trends, competitive activity, and evolving consumer behaviours.
  • Identify and champion strategic opportunities, digital innovations, and technology enhancements that improve commercial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Drive the localization and implementation of global digital and e-commerce initiatives within the unique Greater China digital ecosystem.
  • Foster best-practice sharing, governance, and cross-property collaboration to improve consistency and execution across the region.
  • Support recruitment and succession planning efforts for local E-Commerce openings.
  • Assist with other tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent In E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Marketing or related subjects
  • Preferably 10+ years of experience in developing and leading E-Commerce for a global brand with strategic vision for how to maximize business results
  • At least 6 years experience within a supervisory / managerial role leading E-commerce or digital marketing work.
  • Possesses a deep understanding and solid experience in managing an E-Commerce Business.
  • Has a deep understanding of digital marketing performance and the latest digital / social media trends and online consumer behaviour
  • Experience engaging with senior leadership
  • Well-developed leadership skills; effective relationship management skills and strategic thinking with strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent skills in written and verbal communications
  • Team player, responsible, self-driven individual with confident and outgoing personality
  • High level of attention to details, organized, pro-active, self-motivated and independent
  • Strong presentation skills
