Job Description

Position Summary

The DBS Leader, LSIG India is a strategic commercial growth role responsible for accelerating LSIG India’s growth agenda through the deployment of DBS Growth tools, commercial excellence practices, and cross-OpCo growth initiatives. The role will partner with platform and OpCo leadership to improve funnel management, forecast accuracy, win rates, opportunity conversion, and execution rigor across priority commercial workstreams.

This position will report to the VP – LSIG India and will play a critical leadership role in enabling LSIG India’s ambition to gain disproportionate market share, build sustainable competitive advantage, and strengthen commercial performance across India through DBS-led growth transformation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The DBS Leader will provide strategic leadership to deploy DBS Growth tools and commercial excellence practices across LSIG India. The role will drive Growth Rooms, commercial kaizens, performance management routines, Voice of Customer, market segmentation, growth-driver deployment, and workflow-based selling strategies to support scalable and sustainable commercial growth.

The role will act as a strategic partner to platform and OpCo leaders, helping translate market opportunities and business priorities into structured DBS-led growth actions. The focus will be on building commercial capability, improving execution discipline, and enabling consistent deployment of growth initiatives across OpCos.

• Drive deployment of DBS Growth tools and commercial excellence practices across LSIG India to accelerate organic growth and strengthen commercial performance.
• Improve funnel management, forecast accuracy, win rates, opportunity conversion, and commercial operating rigor across priority growth initiatives.
• Lead Growth Rooms, commercial kaizens, and performance management routines to identify growth gaps, remove barriers, and drive measurable outcomes.
• Drive Voice of Customer, market segmentation, and growth-driver deployment activities to sharpen strategic priorities and improve customer-backed decision making.
• Enable consistent execution of cross-OpCo growth initiatives and workflow-based selling strategies across LSIG India.
• Support LSIG India’s ambition of gaining disproportionate market share and building sustainable competitive advantage in India through DBS-led commercial transformation.

Competencies Required:

• Commercial Acumen: Strong foundation in sales, marketing, funnel management, customer orientation and growth processes, with a strong LifeSciences background.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to train, coach and engage senior stakeholders effectively.
• Teamwork: Ability to lead cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines, businesses and operating companies.
• Influencing Skills: Ability to inform, convince and persuade others to action through DBS, data-backed insights and change leadership.
• Results Orientation: Demonstrated capability to deliver sustainable business results and measurable KPI improvements.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of business experience, including leadership roles in sales, marketing, commercial excellence or general management; Experience in Life Science industry is preferred.
• MBA preferred, with the ability to assess key business metrics and situations from a senior leader point of view.
• Ability to design, develop and implement DBS roadmaps for an operating business or platform.
• Hands-on experience implementing DBS, continuous improvement, process improvement or commercial excellence in a leadership role.
• Superior training, consulting, facilitation and influencing skills.
• Strong time management, project management, writing and administrative skills, including proficiency in standard business software.
