You will join a global technology leadership team driving enterprise-wide data integration and engineering strategy across a complex, distributed organization. In this senior leadership role, you will define and oversee scalable data engineering solutions that enable seamless data movement across systems, platforms, and external partners. You will act as a key technical authority, shaping architecture decisions, guiding integration strategies, and ensuring that data platforms support both current operational needs and long-term business growth. The role requires close collaboration with IT leaders, business stakeholders, and global engineering teams to transform data into actionable insights. You will also lead and mentor large, geographically distributed teams, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with enterprise standards. This is a high-impact leadership position where your decisions directly influence data strategy, innovation, and enterprise performance.

Accountabilities:

• Define and lead enterprise-wide data engineering and integration strategies to enable seamless data flow across systems and external partners.
• Collaborate with IT leadership and business units to identify integration needs and design scalable, cost-effective data solutions.
• Oversee architecture design and ensure implementation of robust, secure, and scalable integration platforms.
• Drive adoption of best practices, standardized frameworks, and tools across global data engineering teams.
• Guide and mentor large distributed teams across multiple regions, ensuring delivery quality and alignment with business objectives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to data integration platforms and enterprise architecture.
• Ensure proper documentation of solution designs, architecture decisions, and technical deliverables.
• Monitor project execution and communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to senior stakeholders.
• Foster collaboration between engineering teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of integration initiatives.

Requirements:

• 15+ years of experience in data engineering, integration architecture, or enterprise data platform leadership roles.
• Strong expertise in data integration architecture, APIs, ETL processes, and real-time data streaming systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, API management, Kafka, and messaging systems.
• Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale enterprise integration solutions.
• Strong background in solution architecture, data modeling, and system design.
• Excellent leadership experience managing global, distributed engineering teams.
• Strong decision-making, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or clinical research is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Relevant cloud or data engineering certifications (e.g., Azure) are a plus.
