Director, Data, Analytics & AI — Remote (Travel to CA HQ)

The Talent Source is partnering with a high-growth, private equity–backed organization seeking a visionary Director of Data, Analytics & AI to lead the development of scalable, intelligent systems that transform data into a strategic enterprise asset.

This is a high-impact player-coach leadership role for a hands-on data expert who thrives at the intersection of architecture, innovation, and business value. You will shape and operationalize a modern data ecosystem, lead a multidisciplinary team, and unlock new opportunities through advanced analytics and conversational AI.

What You’ll Do

Technical Leadership & Innovation
• Architect and optimize enterprise data infrastructure and ELT/ETL pipelines across complex multi-ERP environments
• Build scalable MDM, advanced analytics, AI/ML models, and automated insight platforms
• Develop AI-driven automation for forecasting, anomaly detection, and decision intelligence
• Establish enterprise data governance, quality, lineage, and responsible AI frameworks
• Deliver intuitive, self-service data visualization experiences that drive faster decision-making

Team & Operational Leadership
• Build and mentor a high-performing onsite and offshore analytics organization
• Implement agile delivery metrics and prioritization frameworks to balance innovation and execution

Strategic Impact
• Translate data into executive-level insights and strategic recommendations
• Identify and quantify AI-driven value across revenue growth, cost optimization, and operational performance
• Partner cross-functionally across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to embed intelligence into workflows

What You Bring

• 7+ years in Data & Analytics, including 3+ years leading technical teams
• Advanced expertise in SQL, Python, and cloud data platforms (Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, Databricks)
• Experience building enterprise data models, MDM frameworks, and complex ELT/ETL pipelines
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML, LLM-based applications, and agentic AI solutions
• Strong data visualization expertise (Power BI or similar)
• Proven ability to communicate complex insights to executive stakeholders
• Experience leading distributed technical teams

Preferred Experience

• Multi-ERP data integration and consolidation
• Snowflake Data Cloud and Azure AI ecosystem
• Data privacy and compliance (GDPR, CCPA)
• Data observability, cloud cost optimization, and real-time analytics
• Prior leadership in high-growth PE-backed environments
