Manages people managers and individual contributors employees in the Customer Application Specialist team in EMEA, Academy and Technical Excellence team to provide the best customer and employee experience and met/overexceed sales quota.

Constantly drive coverage optimization to ensure balanced workload that enables the team to apply the right skills, response and solution for each opportunity. You must possess a unique blend of business and management savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.

You must be able to communicate with all management levels and business operations within the company and moreover, in our complex customer environment.

Directly accountable to the Associate Vice President EMEA HDx.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for effective business development during the pre and post sales processes, through the provision of technical expertise;
  • Manages the planning, development and utilization of human resources required to assist the EMEA field organization from deal qualification to deal closures, the training facility and the Technical Excellence team and the IDO partner support;
  • Develops internal partnership and external relationships in order to understand customers’ requirements, to recommend appropriate solutions and to influence future product design;
  • Stays current on, anticipates trends and developments and is knowledgeable on competition in relevant field;
  • Manages employees responsible for providing technical expertise to the field organization in order to meet or exceed sales quota;
  • Develops, maintains and uses proper reporting tools to monitor and adjust as needed the utilization of the Application Engineers, leveraging similar approaches deployed from Technical teams across the entire Agilent organization;
  • Partners with sales managers and business partners to drive a combined approach with customers demonstrating the value of OneAgilent;
  • Focus on employee engagement through coaching and meaningful development plans to enable employee personal growth as well as adaption of skills to the market needs;
  • Responsible for driving the development of the team’s competency towards the current and future market needs;
  • Directs and manages resources to implement tactical business plans and practice related pre-sales Customer Application Specialist activities;
  • Develops and implements solutions to department issues and open to evolve the support organization to follow the market’s needs in the next years;
  • Focus on Customer Experience in line with the company brand promise.

Qualifications

  • Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent – a PhD or MBA is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience as people manager
  • Solid Business Management Skills
  • Customers & employees negotiations skills at all senior level: for example effectively handle client discussions, resolve internal and external conflicts and able to manage difficult conversations.
  • A solid understanding and experience in the Life Sciences/Clinical Diagnostics market segment
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal - knowing multiple languages is a plus

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
