Job Description
The role is for a Director within our ‘Credit Risk Solutions’, Credit & Political Risk Insurance team, based in Singapore. This role will involve working in a team focusing on a broad base of Singapore and International Financial Institution clients.
Dutiesandresponsibilitieswillincludebutnotbelimitedto:
- Taking responsibly for account management of key Financial Institution accounts; including broking/placement strategy, product development, portfolio management and expanding client relationships
- Working with existing clients to review their existing programs, presenting the best possible solutions and client outcomes
- Negotiation of policy wordings / contract reviews
- Contribute to delivery of our new business strategy and targets within the Global Line of Business
- Proactively lead initiatives for new and existing clients
- Attend and present at industry events and conferences in Singapore and throughout Asia
- Develop and maintain close relationships with the Insurers across the region
- Second pair of eyes check on client documentation
- Develop good working relationships and work closely with the main carriers in the region
- Lead and mentor a team of credit risk professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement robust credit risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the analysis and evaluation of structured credit products, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate credit risk solutions into the overall risk management framework.
- Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of credit risk metrics, providing insights to senior management.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in credit risk management, driving innovation within the team.
- Provide expert guidance and support to clients, helping them navigate complex credit risk scenarios.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering their professional growth and expertise in credit risk solutions.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and industry partners.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences, showcasing our expertise in credit risk management.
- A relevant bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in credit risk management, with a focus on structured credit products.
- Ability to work independently on a range of placements and take responsibility for key accounts.
- Problem solving and decision-making skills essential
- Excellent communication(written, verbal, oral & Presentation) skills and interpersonal skills essential.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment where lateral thinking, initiative, self-motivation and decision-making skills are crucial
- Proven leadership and mentorship skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a deep understanding of credit risk modeling and assessment.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to juggle a large workload and prioritize work effectively.
- Strong team player with good people skills.
- Professional certifications in credit risk management (e.g., PRM, FRM) are highly advantageous.
- Experience working with regulatory bodies and a solid understanding of compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in using credit risk analysis tools and software.
A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving, with a track record of driving process improvements.
